Does your yorkie know the difference between.....? Cracking a shell of a raw egg and a boiled egg? Raw egg for mommy (to be fried). Boiled egg? must be for Uni. Wok vs walk "Park" the car vs going to the "park" "Baff" vs "bath" What other differences does your yorkie know? Extra points if they are bilingual. |
Mine all fail...they don't know the difference between the HGTV door bell or the real one. Although we do have an issue every Halloweenish time talking about Trick or Treat and the dogs spontaneously sit dance and walk... |
haha that's cute! Trick or treat. |
"bear" (their toys) and "bare" (often used in this house jokingly as she says: "kiss it" he says: "bare it!") The pooches know the difference between the two because thankfully they don't try to jump up and latch on to our tushies like they do with their bears. |
Any time the word GO is used or any form of it (going upstairs, going to take a bath), Buster thinks it's time to go somewhere. Same thing with the words park and walk. We started spelling go, walk and park but i swear he still knows what we are saying. |
Lol about the doorbell on TV! Mine always barks at the bell that sounds like our doorbell. I tell her "TV" and she shuts up. Words don't seem to cue her as much as other sounds. The crunch of opening plastic wrappers, the can opener, and the sound of the meat drawer in the fridge get her going. ;) |
Yeah we can't spell "park" we have to say the "P" and for walk we say "W". |

There is a lot of spelling going on at our house. Calleigh knows so many words it's spooky. I'm constantly spelling. If someone mentions car, she's at the door going to the garage. If we mention crackers, bath, or someones name she starting looking for them and going to the door. She keeps us on our toes. :) |

Mimi is scared of thunderstorms & she gets scared of the thunderstorm sounds from a movie. We can't say the words "go out, car, walk" in Korean or English...do we get xtra credit for being bilingual?:D For for some unknown reason, Princess & Turbo go berserk over aerosol cans & the wrapper on some drink bottles, like Starbucks Frappuccino. |

We recently ran into the issue of treat vs. Tree...we are talking about getting a chrietmas tree, and luma immediately wakes up from being dead asleep, runs in circles, and paws at the cabinet where her treats are. Oh lord. We cannot say the T word in this household. |
We have to spell things around here too but I must say you guys have some smart Yorkies! :) |
Mine know how to spell P-I-Z-Z-A, Bark at TV doorbells (we have a door knocker, lol), bark at TV ambulances, and TV dogs. Sapphire knows when we cook popcorn and appears at my feet before the microwave is opened. Peek A Boo is severely treat motivated, and will bark when he thinks it's treat time. And if I bring out the wrong treat, he will bark and I have to try again! They won't eat their food until I put at least 4 Cheerios on top. |
