Does your yorkie drool? I never knew small dogs were capable of drooling until I met Scraps! Every foster I've had, I've been able to teach them tricks easily with a little food motivation. Scraps is another story. He has bad LP so he can't really sit like a normal dog would. So there goes many of the basic tricks, sit, shake, lay down, beg, etc. I tried a sit a while back, all he did was make a face like this  and then a big slime drool loogey started dripping out. Yuck! So now his trick is "do googly eyes", and then he gets a treat LOL. This morning while eating breakfast, he was watching bf eat, and afterwards found a small wet puddle where he was standing. Ewwww So does your yorkie drool too? |
Is he missing some teeth because that can cause drooling. Neither of mine do it |
Mine don't drool either...thank the Good Lord for that! |
Elvis only drools while having a seizure. I hope Scraps is just different. |
Jada doesn't actually drool puddles or anything...but since she lost two of her bottom front teeth her beard hair stays wet:( |
No, morgan does not drool |
none of mine drool...even my girl who has no bottom front teeth...My daughters Golden drools when he watches them eat |
No, my yorkie does not drool. |

Yes, Sprout drools...tons. He still has every single one of his teeth. He's 13 years old and very healthy. He drools when we say "walkies?" He drools when we say "byebyes?" He drools when we say "want some?" for treats (and drools for "treat" too) He drools when he knows "daddy" (my husband) will be home soon, and will drool for about 20 minutes before he walks in the door. His is not thick or gooey/slimey though, it's just watery saliva. I'm not saying there's nothing wrong with your dog (there might be a medical explanation for it). For ours however, it's just the way he is. He drools when he gets excited and it's normal for him. Every dog is different. :) Also...he's done it since he was 3 months old (and probably before then, too). I never questioned it or thought it was weird, but with this post I see that it apparently is "different" LOL |
Sophia drools when she's scared :(. So usually at the vet for nail trims (or when she's meeting kjc :sidesplt:) Sophia was drooling up a storm when she met Kathy!!! |
Gwenni is the only one that drools and only when in the car because she's nauseous. Never have had them drool otherwise. |

Scraps only drools when he sees food he wants. Just like how big dogs drool. Now Uni, my crazy girl, she will foam at the mouth! if she's too excited or on edge. Not the same as Scraps' drool. It's thin and bubbly. First time it happened we took her to a yorkie meetup. First time she's seen so many dogs. She freaked and even tore one of her nails out. :( |
Nope, neither of my two drool. |
Yes. Ask Kaji if he wants a cookie and he losses it. Show him the cookie and you will find a puddle of drool right where he was sitting. It's so gross, but funny. |
Joel only drools in the car........ALOT!:) |

Momo drools, he's also missing a front tooth on the bottom...but all his teeth are super tiny, so I don't think it holds back his huge tongue properly. He'll leave a tiny puddle of drool when there is food. When I give him the food/treat, he'll also leave my fingers drenched in his drool loll. He also has strangely large/bulgy saliva sacs. I took him to 2 different vets thinking something was very wrong & they both said it was normal. They didn't aspirate it or felt that there was anything wrong w/it, as long as he's breathing & eating normally. It bothers me tho.:( |

Cinders doesn't droll, but she does make that big eyed face :bigeyes:at me when I try to teach her tricks. All she can do so far is run to me when I say here. |
