Car rides Every time I take my 15 month baby in the car she vomits. Is this something she will outgrow??? |

My puppy did that when he was younger. He finally out grew it. He has lots of anxiety issues though, get excited when going out to car or walks. Your pup will out grow it! |

At 15 months I would think not but I guess there is still a chance. How is your dog traveling in the car? Callie was on hydroxyzine for allergies and we found it also works for car sickness and doesn't effect her badly or make her sleepy so I just give her one if we are going somewhere. |

I'd ask your vet. If she's vomiting because of motion sickness, he/she may be able to recommend something. Or does she make herself sick from nerves/being scared? Does she associate the car with good things or bad things? I know some dogs only go in the car when going to the vet. Others, like my ZoE, travel in the car almost almost daily. |

We know how you feel, we went through same phase when we got Happy. Few things really helped us (thanks to fellow YT members, they are great!!) - Feed her well before you leave. Also give her a good exercise before leaving. - If she is create trained take the crate along with you in the back setat of the car. Happy did well when we took his crate. He enjoyed the car ride and vomiting was gone ;) Hope this helps you!! |

Our Bella was not a good rider. Vet suggested: exercise prior to the ride, take her on a short morning/evening ride about 5-10 minutes and purchase a car seat. Well it worked, she now rides everywhere with us on hour long trips. The seat is a square basket type, she snuggles down, goes to sleep but she can sit up and look around.........she feels secure! Good Luck! |

Thank you everyone for your suggestions!! Love this site!! |

I use ginger, ginger snap cookies and benadryl. I started with using them both, at first it only takes at most 1 cookie. Then I started decreasing the benadryl and use only the ginger cookie and works great. |

A simple test for an Air Quality issue would be to set the A/C controls where Fresh Air was furnished. Often times, there is no actual "name" for that position or button on the A/C Panel, and may be able to be accessed when you don't have the A/C set to "MAX" Not the temperature setting, but the buttons setting. Thre may be a name "Recurlate", and you don't want to use that setting to get Fresh Air pulled in to the vehicle. |

ginger snaps may help with tummy issues, it is a thought ginger is good for the tummy |

1 Attachment(s) Poor Maggie May had car/motion sickness for the firs year we had her. Even on the boat, you could just see it in her face. I think the Snoozer carseat did wonders for her. She finally realized that when she look out, she was okay. She loves to go for rides now and whenever we do, she jumps right into my suv and into her carseat. |
