Never a dull moment So today I let Max and Snow out into the backyard to go potty. I was sitting on the patio talking with one of my friends when Max came waltzing up to me nudging my leg. I looked down at him and gave him a pat on the head, and continued to talk. But, he kept nudging me. This time when I looked down at him I noticed a little something hanging out of the side of his mouth. Of course my maternal instincts kicked and I put my hand under his chin and told him to "drop it"... Biggest. Mistake. Of. My. Life. That little sucker dropped a half dead frog into my hand and ran away. For those of you who don't know... I'm terrified of frogs. Like, mortified... I think he did it on purpose too. He just looked so proud of himself after he gave me the frog. Moral of the story: Never accept anything a yorkie has to give you... with the acception of kisses. ;) |
LOL, so glad to know another person that is terrified of frogs...I absolutely detest them...I will be very, very careful with my dogs presents. |
I'm sorry but that was funny! I too detest frogs however...wouldn't have been funny if it was me of course...sorry. |
At least he gave it to you and didn't eat it! |
Omgosh Max that little stinker! |

Too funny...so cute!! Remember, it's the thought that counts!! |
OMG...too funny. You weren't skipping any meals or anything prior, were you? DH was working round the clock in the garage getting a motorcycle ready for a bike show, not stopping for meals, and a kitty brought him a freshly dead, warm field mouse...to eat, we assume...he apparently somehow recognized that DH *might* be hungry. I understand the freak out, though. I was loading the dishwasher once, and when I closed the door, under it sat a different kitty and a huge tarantula next to her. I am the same way with spiders as you are with frogs, so I freaked and ordered (yeah, riiiight!) her to stay...so I could kill it. Well, she calmly reached out and put her paw on top of the tarantula's body, holding him firmly down so he couldn't move...I guess she realized my fear...but she'd brought him in to me from outside, and she took him away...I'll spare you my reaction to THAT...but you must understand she was feral before deciding to live indoors 'some' of the time, and was crazy for snakes, too! The kitties have brought all sorts of trophies...fortunately, so far the worst thing the Yorkies have been interested in is 'kitty cookies' and 'critter candy' from the yard...and THAT's bad...and gross...enough. :p Maybe next time Max will find a trophy more to your liking...like a diamond tennis bracelet or ring! :D |
Yuk! That little rascal! |
So funny!! I remember a tomcat that we had once, brought a LARGE field rat into the house and dropped it right between my mothers feet. She yelled at the cat to take it out of the house and he never brought us another present,he was a bit offended. |
Thanks for sharing the stories. I don't mind frogs and even collect beaded, enameled or rhinestone frogs, I like humming birds and faries too. But, OMGosh the big hairy spider thing gives me chills ! Rat, mice and other quick vermin in my house UCK ! :) |
Oh my! I would of freaked too! Anything wiggly and slimy or hairy and I am so grossed out! I bet he was proud of himself though! He was bringing his prize to Mommy! |
