looking for Yorkie Pup in WA I have finally decided I wanted a yorkie this week and has been looking around local breeders and also came across non-local ones (after I contacted them of coz). I have looked into rescue for a while but did not see any yorkie being this young. This being our first dog, I am a little bit scared looking into pups for sale ads/websites. If anyone has any good recommendations on local breeders in Seattle area or any breeders that do good delivery, please do share. Thanks!!! |
I do not know any local breeds but will give you some tips on finding a good breeder. A good breeder will never use the word teacup, the puppies will be AKC registered, the parents will have had genetic testing, both parents will be exceptional representation of the breed, the mother will not be under 5 pounds, they will have a health guarantee, you should be able to see both parents, you will want to see where the pups are growing up and make sure its not outside or in a shed, good breeders will not have many litters of pups at one time, good breeders will also no breed mixes or many types of dogs, a good breeder will not ship cargo, and the puppies from a good breeder will not be let go before 12 weeks. I am sure there are more but those are the only ones I can think about. I wish you luck in find the right puppy for you and I also suggest you get some books about yorkies and read them before you decided for certain this is the breed you want. |
