For those who have more than 1 I would like to find out how you guys with more than 1 furbaby take them with you places. Like now I take mine with me shopping or to the post office or bank. How would I do that with 2 or 3. I don't have a stroller nor do I want to use one. If I had 3 I could rotate who goes. Just wondering how it's being done. |
It's very hard to take multiples. If you are just carrying them in a bag, then, yes, you might want to rotate who gets to go. |
I don't take all 3 of mine at the same time. I usually rotate with them. |
If I cant take them on a leash I use a stroller. Actually those strollers come in handy like we go to trails and walk with ours and chachi can walk far but Jewels cant so I just put her in a stoller and walk chachi |
I have two and I dont take mine with me on errands if going by car. When it comes to walking, thats easy too, I take only one because the other thinks he is to good for a leash so he doesnt get to go. The one who hates walking on leash gets his exercise swimming in the pool. |
Mina goes more than the others. She usually rides in my purse or in the cart seat. If we are going for walks and EVERYONE is going (5) then I do use a stroller. I have two with heart problems and they get tired pretty quick, they ride and the others walk beside the stroller. |
I take 2 various places. My boys are bigger and can't fit comfortably in a carrier together, so I use leashes and then put the boys in a shopping cart when possible. Going places with only 1 is much easier, but leaving 1 at home with grandpa leads to a lot of sad faces and pouting. :p |

My two ride in a bag comfortably together. Very rarely do I just take one with me... Except every few months, Couver gets to come with me to my hair appointment. I just set the open bag on the floor and he hangs out while I get my hair done. I know Khloe would just want to be in my lap, so she stays home with daddy. |
I have two but really only take Ruby out with me. Poor Riley gets car sick. When we do take both of them out (vet visits mostly) I take my husband or son to help me. If I have to do it alone, Ruby goes in her bag and Riley walks on a leash. I do have a stroller but Riley is a big Yorkie (8 lbs.) so he really prefers to walk. |
I rotate taking my 3 out to the stores but when I walk, I take all 3. One in the stroller and 2 walking :) |
Do you all use individual leashes or the double leashes? |
I take an equal amount of family one per dog. I cannot walk all my dogs alone even in front if our house. Not for lack of trying either. Mine vary in size too much to reasonably accomodate any double leashes I have found. I have noticed people who can do so added more after their dogs were fully and competabtly trained. Mine feed off if eachothers naughty behavior. We have separate vet grooming outings etc for the most part. Like with skinkids each gets some individual special time. Besides Princess gets horridly car sick so either Scoobers or Elvis stays home with her when we take a car ride dog adventure, we even walk her the 2 miles to the vets. |
I will soon have three...I wondered how I was going to do this...I will rotate I think, take one, the other two have each other to play with...we will see how it goes. |
Thanks to all that replied. I have wondered how you do it. I just hope my 5 yr old only won't get upset when she has to share. |
