Miss. Molly Joy I am happy and sad all at the same time. YTNR contacted me today to inform me that they have someone who is interested in Molly Joy. In October it will be a year that I agreed to foster her and she has come so very far. The couple who are interested in her live in Indiana so I know I would never see her again but they are also talking about possibly having the cataracts removed from her eyes so Miss Molly Joy would see again and I think that is awesome. My 15 year old Grand daughter will be devestated as she has claimed Molly as her own and Molly has also claimed her but I know that this is what is best for Molly. My grand daughter is out of town right now with her Mom and I will have to tell her when she gets back tomorrow. This is so hard. Please pray that I make the right choice. |
This is very exciting for Molly Joy! I personally know how hard it is to hand over a foster to their forever home... But wait until you get the happy updates :D My first foster moved to Alaska and has done so well in her new home. I can tell how happy she is by the pictures. You have done an amazing thing for Molly Joy. Just remember that :) |
I am truly gonna miss this little girl, even though she ruined my carpets ( wood floors from here on out lol ) she has been nothing but a joy. Watching her grow and facing her fears and beating them, that is what fostering is all about. |
Its a great thing for Molly Joy and if they want to take care of her eyes it sounds like they are really going to care about and love her. I hope everything goes well and will keep yall in my prayers. |

Bless you and all other foster mom/dads out there...you are truly a God send. ((HUGGZZ)) |
Oh Donna, it's always so bitter-sweet when a foster leaves to start their new life in their forever home. Thank you for all that you have done for Molly Joy. I'm sure the couple would agree to send you updates on her progress. I have heard from all of foster's families, and get occasional pictures. I always try to remind myself that they will be "top dog" where they are going. At my house they are loved, but they are just one of the pack. Each dog deserves their own "person" to love them. You, my friend, gave her roots. Now you are giving her wings. :tinyheart |
All my best to Molly Joy on this next leg of her journey:love: You have helped her become a wonderful little dog and her new family is going to treasure her as much as you have. It must be so difficult to watch a foster leave, yet rewarding. You are a blessing to these pups:D!!! |
...sorry for your grandaughter though im sure she will be ok once she understands this is the best thing for molly joy! sounds like they will give her all the best as you did! good luck molly joy on you new adventure. |
Well if they do keep me updated I will surely share with everyone here. Looks like Little Dude Gizmo may have a new home two. No longer will I be the Mom of a 6 pack but I will still have 4. |
I know Donna, it is hard. I pour love into every rescue, love is what heals them. Sometimes I cry for my loss, I miss them so much. I pray about it and let go, because it is the right tihing to do. If I keep one Yorkie, I can not help the next one that needs a forever home, and that keeps me doing it. Hugs |

Yay! Gizmo gets a home too. Please tell the couples that adopt your babies that there are thousands of people here who have followed those sweethearts for a long time now. It would be kind of them to update you, so that you can share news with all of us! For that matter, they can join YT, then we can see your babies all of the time. :yay_jump: My kids have gotten attached to various pups as well. They are always sad too, but now they know a new foster who needs love will be coming soon. |
Well Molly goes to her new home in Chicago on Saturday. I talked to the new Mom today and I have to say this women was put on earth to rescue Molly. She is a teacher for special needs children and she said when she seen Molly's story that she just had to have her. She already has an optomologist lined up to look at Molly's eyes and see what can be done and she promises to keep us updated. I am getting Molly groomed on Friday and putting her prettiest clothes on her so she looks nice for her new family. This home is exactly what I wanted for her. An older couple, no children living at home but one 30 year old daughter who lives 30 miles from me ( hoping when she comes to visit her daughter she will let me see Molly) and they have 2 other SR. Yorkies so Molly will still have a pack. I am so very happy for Molly but so very sad to see her leave us. |

It sounds like the perfect home, and the perfect people have been found for sweet Molly Joy. The lady sounds so wonderful. We need to pray that the ophthalmologist will be able to remove those cataracts and improve her sight. Donna, she has done so well this year because of your love and care. It's exciting for her, but I am sorry for you because it's very hard to let them go. I always say that when they leave, they take a piece of my heart with them. It's going to be a tough day on Sunday, and you will cry. Your other babies will get the blues too. Mine always do. But you (and everyone else) will go on, and a new foster will need you soon. I'll be praying for you too. I hope the lady will allow you to see her, and send pictures to share with all of us. Keep us updated on how it's going. |
