Is my yorkie pure? 3 Attachment(s) Here are some pictures of the little brat, he just got his haircut today. He has paper but I did not buy them because the lady wanted an extra 150$ for them. |

Looks to be so. Were the papers AKC? $150 for papers isnt much. Personally its getting annoying breeders are with holding papers...it should be full or limited AKC not full or NO PAPERS, just silly. |

He does look an awful lot like my daughters silky around the snout. I also am no expert though. Maybe Carmen will see this. She is really good at telling them apart. Whatever he is though he is sure a cutie. |

He has a lot of the Yorkie features but his muzzle is a bit too boxy. If anything I would have to guess possibly Schnauzer mix. Did you see the mother? I asume she was a Yorkie. Its the father that you would need to question. This is only my opinion! He is very cute, |
I'm pretty familar with Schnorkie mini schnauzer yorkie mixes... if this guy has schnauzer in him I'd bet money its from a grandparent not really schnauzer looking at all to me beside the hair cut. I have a teapot parti schnorkie and mini schnauzee and 3 close friends with schnorkies...we all have half half or f1 hybrids. Anyways just another of my 2 cents. |
Well, the snout is not very Yorkie like but some breeders are using breeding stock that is kind of far removed from the Yorkshire Terrier standard. He is a darling little guy no matter what. |

well, I'm no expert either but, as some have said he looks like a mix to me too. did you see the parents? I don't understand why she wouldn't give you the papers with him? Makes no sense to me either. What ever he is he sure is a handsome little man! |

I'm no expert, but he looks like a mix to me as well. I think up here in Canada it is against the law to charge more for the papers, they HAVE to be given with the pup..no extra charge. |
it's not any extra cost for papers normally a pure bred registered dog comes with them. Often a breeder will make you wait for them until you have proof of spay. I'd be questioning that with the AKC or CKC. He's handsome, he's already yours, does it really matter now |

I'll bet hes 50% adorable and 50% spoiled? Hes gorgeous and pics at that angle are difficult to really "see"...but if you don't want a mix I will be happy to take him!!!! hehe |

I agree -- I think he's a yorkie mix, too. His snout is extra long and boxy. Are his ears semi-floppy? Collectively, all these features say "mix" to me. However, I'm no expert either. But regardless, he's still a lovable dog. |
