| Brenda827 | 08-19-2012 02:23 PM | MamaZiggy - nice to read you had some of the same concerns as me! Today I started Abby's new routine. I have two tiny containers that I will have for each girl. I measured out just under 1/3 cup for Abby, and I divided the portion into 3 feedings for now, and will eventually do two feedings with a veggie or fruit treat, etc. in between those feedings. Since she has been free fed her whole life with us, I had to mix something in with her Innovaboth times she ate today, so she would go to her bowl and eat. Otherwise, she just eats at her leisure throughout the day. At Abby's vet appt. a few days ago, the vet said she was at a good weight and to keep feeding her the amount that I do. It's hard to know how to calculate this, because she normally doesn't eat the 1/3 cup each day, so I don't want to overfeed her...sigh...I guess if she isn't hungry, she won't eat the entire portion, but when I mix in plain yogurt or a veggie, etc., for her first morning feeding, she usually devours it and then just eats the dry throughout the day.
As far as Marcy eating, I am going to keep her food and water in a separate pen and put her in it to eat for now and then go from there!
