Our Himalayan chews are here!!!!! Izzy, my big chewer, doesn't seem interested. I got her the medium, maybe it's too big for her? I'll try giving her one of the smaller sized that I also got. Luna is happily chewing away, which is odd because she's really not much of a chewer:confused: They must be yummy:D |
Hmmm...Izzy doesn't seem to like the smaller one either:( POO!!! |
My two will chew on himalayans for a couple minutes, but then quickly lose interest. Bully sticks are more of a hit around here. |
cedric has had his for like months....he'll only be interested if lola tries to nab one otherwise they just hang in his pile of belongings! lol |

At least it's still keeping Izzy busy! Smear a tiny dab of peanut butter on one end to entice her to chew. |
Funny because the bully sticks I ordered just came and my 4 are all in different beds just munching away. Like a doggie pacifier lol. I got the 1 lb sampler from best bullysticks.com and it was only 20 dollars free shipping. I might try the himalayans next. Do they smell??? |

Both of mine love the himmies!! they last for months around here, I buy the medium. Bully sticks too...I just cant stand the smell, so they rarely get those. They will chew on those (bullies) for hours...til they get all gooey, then they want to come and drop them in my lap!:eek::eek: Yuck!! |
For some reason I just can't get by the bully sticks and what they're made of. What are the himmies? My Issy chews up a storm too. I could probably hire her out for demolition work. |
Maybe Izzy will become interested after a while. Right now she just isn't quite sure about it. I have seen Gracie ignore a bully stick for days but when she gets the urge to chew she suddenly latches on. Or maybe she is not a cheese fan? I guess it's not exactly cheese but made out of some goat's milk kind of product? I haven't tried the Himalayan chews yet. They seem expensive for what you get and the sizes look odd to me. We have had such success with the bully sticks that I haven't really looked into other chews much. Don't really care what they are made of. In other societies it is considered wasteful to kill an animal unless all parts of the animal are made use of. Gracie loves them. It's a dried piece of fat free protein when she gets it and as long as she keeps it on the floor we are fine with her choice of chews. You might want to buy a bigger type of bully stick if your dog is chewing them up quickly. They come in various thicknesses. |

They are expensive but I forsee them lasting a long, long time. Luna chewed on hers for a couple of hours yesterday and there were barely teeth marks in it:D Now I just need to find them:rolleyes: for chew time this afternoon. I don't mind the bullies and I will be getting Izzy a bigger one this weekend. She just prefers those, I guess. Wish me luck finding those or I'll have to dip into the stash and give them new ones:p |

Himalayan Chews, I got them from Amazon Luna was digging hers, she doesn't care for the bullies too much, unless it's pre-chewed and gooey from Izzy, yuck!! |
That's funny that Izzy hid her's! Gracie does that when I give her something she does not like the smell of. (If you can imagine anything smelling worse than a bully stick) She is sure set in her ways. Izzy may still decide to try the Himalayan though, once the the newness wears off. |
Both my girls like the Himmies, but Charlee (my yorkie) will wait sometimes until Georgie (my schnauzer) has softened it up a bit...even if I give them each one, they seem to like to share the one, taking turns with it. |
