Thinking about options... Sorry if this was the wrong place to post, I couldn't find a better room. I have been thinking we need to give our Yorkies a better home. We have a second baby on the way, and with a very high needs toddler, I will not be able to properly care for our yorkies. I thought about giving them to a rescue, but I cannot find one near us, or near where we will be in September. I don't want to sell them, I just need someone who will love them and give them the absolute best care. I don't even know what to do. I hate doing this  |
I wish I was in San Diego, but I'm in Florida. It is very hard having little ones and your fur babies, but it can be done. You have to do what you feel is best. |
We are in North Carolina right now, but we will be in San Diego and San Francisco in September and October. This is so heartbreaking. |
How sad a situation for you and your Yorkies....I do not know a single person in your State....hopefully, there is someone on here that will be able to help rehome these babies to a wonderful home where they will be loved. How many do you have, how old are they, boys, girls, etc. Did you buy your Yorkies from a breeder, with a contract? It clearly spells out in my contract that if a puppy must be given up for whatever reason, for whatever length of time from date of purchase, the puppy must be returned to me. If you have a contract, you will need to check to see if you are bound by the same agreement. Good luck with your decision...I can imagine the difficulty with which you have come to this conclusion. Wishing the very best for these babies. |

Just wanted to add, they are small Yorkies, both are around 4lb's. |
There are 3chickens rescues specific to Yorkies in yoir area. Pm me if you need help, there are several rescue volunteer members here also in CA. I am at the oposite end of CA like Im in RI you are in FL, but maybe some help can be offered. I really think if nothing else a rescue service should be utalized as they can offer private adoption assistance to help screen potential adopters to make sure your babies get suitable homes. |
I so much wish that I lived in CA. I would help you in a second. |
Contact Yorkie Haven Rescue. I do belive that they have Foster Homes In North Carolina. When you bring up the Web Site look on the left hand side of that page and you will see Surrender Form. You can fill that and submit it. I'm really sorry you are going thru this. Yorkie Haven Rescue |
Oh I wish I could help....I am sure somebody on here will come thru with flying colors for these babies....while we may disagree and have a variety of differing opinions, we ALL come together when it comes to the babies...."it is ALL about the babies".... |
How long have these babies been together...please specify you would love for them to stay together.... |
No they don't have to stay together. Jake loves being an only dog. Jenny will do fine with other dogs. They are not related. |
Did you try the Yorkie Haven Rescue? They will do their best to find them super loving homes. I live in the Charlotte area and can help temporarily if you run out of time before they can pick them up. If I am near you. Not sure where in NC you are. I would also check with vets in your area. They may know of some who are looking to add to their family that are good pet owners. So sorry that you are having to go through this. |
Most dogs would rather get less attention then leave there family |
