I would call the er vet |
ER vet should give you immediate answers |
Call the vet in the am unless your pup is having serious symptoms tonight. Obviously don't let him in bed with you and no contact with children until treatment. |

I'd take in a poop sample also. Maybe she picked up something from the grass or something... |
sorry I meant to say 'he'....when I first got Emy I had to take in a fecal sample, and she had some sort of worm..can't remember what vet called it, but I just gave her banana flavored medicine for a week, went back to vet with another sample, and she was clear.... |
If your dog has had any fleas on it this summer it could have contracted tape worm. The tape worm lets out small segments now and then and cannot always be detected. When you see small white worms in the stool or on the pet's back end it is tape worm. You should tell your vet what you saw and they will know what to give your dog. |
How was Brunos Vet visit today? I hope the worms have been taken care of. Poor Baby. |

Worms are very common and easily treatable. Your vet is correct! Don't stress! |
Making sure your house is clean is a wonderful thing, but the chances of anyone in your house getting infected are slim to none. Part of the tapeworm's life cycle requires it to live in a flea. It just can't go from dog to dog, or from dog to human. It has to go from dog to flea and back to a dog, or from dog to flea to human, etc. In order for you or your pet to get this tapeworm, you would have to swallow a flea that is infected with tapeworms. Your big concern is making sure there are no fleas, get rid of them and you will prevent re-infestation of the tapeworms. |
