Be sure to tell your groomer how short (or long) you want the hair on your babies legs. It's easy for a groomer to just take a clipper and shave the legs down to nothing.:eek:

It's been a long time since have had puppies, but are bathing them about every 7-10 days (or more often as needed). However, just noticed the furbabies are getting matts on their back legs. Using a wire brush (that had from and used on our Charlie boy), but doesn't seem to be helping and they certainly don't like it :(
Will have to try detangler - any suggestions? (Using the Earthbaby Puppy shampoo - smells good, but so far, just an okay shampoo)

I use Yorkie Splash and Shine shampoo/conditioner/detangler. Works great. There's a 10% discount (I think:confused:) for YT members but I don't know how to get it.

You really should invest in a pin brush & metal comb. If you search on this site, you'll find suggested products. I always have a hard time searching on here so I just do a google search, like "yorkie brush" and it leads to a thread on here.

I purchased the pin brush from Chris Christensen (there are less $$ brands) and the metal comb I found in the Pet Supplies section of Amazon. There are 7" & 4" combs. I got both but I think the 7" works fine. The comb has both close together teeth on one side and spaced out teeth on the other.

You'd be surprised how well the comb gets behind the tangles (after you applied detangler) and goes through them without hurting your pup!

Its probably urine....impossible to brush through. A wash cloth and warm water will cut through it. You can try baby wipes too. I think water works best.
