Avalanche (and maybe a tummy ache) I was on the phone in the bedroom (it was charging) when i heard something fall in the kitchen. It was a metallic sound, and the washer was going, so I didn't think much of it. Jaeger, as per usual, went to investigate. He had been really riled up all day, and all of a sudden, he got very quiet and didn't come back, so it roused my suspicions. Seems the washing machine jiggle a shelf, which crashed a cake pan into the CLOSED Fromm bag (usually keep the dog food in a plastic container but its a new bag and we're switching foods) which promptly opened all over the floor. Jaeger, apparently, wanted to help his mommy clean up for purely selfless reasons, and impersonated a vacuum cleaner. He wasn't left alone too long, so I don't think he got an insane amount of food. He's skipping lunch today and I may give him some boiled chicken tonight for dinner if he gets a tummy ache or his stools are funny We had been titrating his new food with the old food so his stomach wouldn't get upset. If he pulls through this with no tummy upset, should I continue titrating or skip it since he seemed to be fine with the new food? |
If it were my kiddos, I'd just give them the new food after this, as long as all was well in Tummy-land:laugh: I tried gradually switching foods with my two and they always just pick out the new kibbles and eat only those:p Stinkers:D They have never had upset tummies from it, but all dogs are different. So funny that he was "helping" LOL |
Jaeger has a sort of sensitive tummy when it comes to rich food-he throws up anything containing any pork. (this is the surf and turf variety, no pork in it.) I did extensive taste testing with him when the new stuff arrived-he likes both the new food and old food the same, but then, he's very food driven in general. |
