Does this happen to you? You go out somewhere and totaly miss your baby, and you feel like you've not seen them forever! Lol We went to a movie and I can't wait to get home to Joely. I thought there the ones that go through separation anxiety:eek: |
I don't like to be away from my babies too long either. I love them so much, guess I just miss them. :aimeeyork |

I know all to well how you feel! :) Hubby & I have no babies(skin) yet & Jaxson is our first fur-baby! We love him so much. |
There are times I don't want to leave her or like when she is feeling bad or something I always want to get home fast. She has never been left alone though, if I'm not home with her my grandpa is so that helps some but she loves to make me feel bad about leaving her by going to the screen door and looking out with sad eyes when I'm leaving. |
We do the same thing too. The dogs go to the groomer every month and our house is just too quiet without them. Also when we are out I want to get back home to them too. |
We just went away for a week on vacation and Georgie stayed with his Poppy. I called and text everyday asking how him and his sister Coco were doing. My husband and I were so excited to see them and vice versa. I can totally relate to how you feel. Honestly, our weekends are planned around not leaving them for more than 4 hours at a time. It works well for all involved:D |
I was at my son's house this weekend. He lives 5 minutes away. I was visiting with my grandchildren for a couple of hours and then started feeling guilty for leaving Gracie for so long. So I went home and stayed with her a while and then went back. I can't take her there because the Lab thinks Gracie is a toy to chase and step on. |
I miss my babies too! And they must miss us too. When we get home they act like they haven't seen us in forever! They get SO excited, even if we're only gone for like 1/2 hour. LOL |
Oh yes, I know that feeling VERY well....:) I take my mum grocery shopping on Thursday mornings, and leave Harry at home. Hate leaving him! My heart gives a little skippy beat as I round the corner to come and collect him....:D :heart to And a couple of months ago, I took mum on a (for her) badly needed holiday, and left Harry with his AMAZING Harry-sitter. She sent me a couple of photos of Harry snuggled up on her tummy....and I actually felt jealous!!!! I don't even feel like that about Andy (not that he's snuggled up on her tummy very often.... :D Sally + Harry x |
oooh, See everyone is the same. We All miss our babies. When I just run to the store to get something, I talk to my babies, tell them I will be "right" back. When I get home (20 minutes later) It's like Mommy, you are home, you have been gone for so long!! I hug each one. And then everything is ok. :D |
Hehe, yeah when I let Joel out of the crate he runs around the house barking and wont stop until he sees everyone is home and he does this thing where he checks out your whole body with his paws making sure your all there, lol like he's inspecting you :) |
Yep. all the time. |
I miss Lola when I go out, so often I sneak her with me, but of course can not always do that, even if I am gone only an hour, we great each other like it has been days. When we travel without Lola my friend Richard often watches her and he has to email me pics daily and then have her back at my house before we arrive home, no way I am coming home to house without Lola. On the way back from the airport my DH and I spend most of the time talking about Lola, I wonder if she missed us, I wonder if she lost weight, I wonder what she will do when she sees us, and so forth. It' always the same conversation on each tip back home. |
You can't help but miss them. They are such sweethearts! :D |
I won't say that I don't miss my guys when I'm out and about, but, they are a little bigger than a lot of the pups here on the site. Maybe it's like kids, you sorta trust um more when they grow up, after a point ? Even though I'm still pretty active, a major part of having my guys here is the security issue. I don't and have never expected or demanded that they rush out and start attacking "an intruder", but, I definitely depend on their eyes and ears, to alert me when anything comes close. And GEES, do they do a good job there ! (generously praised when they get it right) But to extend that "separation anxiety" a little, I think it's exacerbated by not having your "buddies" watching your back. I definitely feel better, when I know My Male Sneakers has his nose stuck out the window, in the Car or at the House. ;) |
I have a picture of Bailey on my phone as the back ground. When I'm at work I look at it 100 times a day! I can't wait to get home to my little guy. My hubby is home all day with him and they usually wait on the porch for me. When I pull up he goes a little crazy wagging his little behind! I love it! |
I am getting ready for my separation anxiety is going to kick into hyper drive. I a going to be leaving them with their Gparents for a ten day trip coming up. I am going to go nuts because my mother doesn't have video on her phone so I want be able to see them I have made my list of everything I need to take, there list of habits, there list of vet info. I am going a little nuts |
I totally relate! When we first got Raley we took him with us to work every day. Then our schedules changed and so one of us was always home. We started leaving him with whoever was at home. He will be 3 years old in December and I can count on one hand how many times we have had to leave him at home due to my husband being in the hospital out of town, etc...Our kids are grown and in college so our dogs fill our empty nest! We are crazy about our babies. One of them doesn't travel well and she is much older so she doesn't mind staying home. Raley is a jetsetter and ready to go whenever and wherever!! My heart hurts when we have to leave him at home for more than a few hours! |
i moved out of a rural town in April, and when I lived there, we had to do our grocery shopping 45 miles away , it was difficult, I missed both my 2 like crazy ,they were always on my mind. Now we have moved and everything is close by. It is great. our vet is less then 10 minutes away, and the super walmart is the same the oppisite direction. We love our new city , and I don't have to feel so upset leaving them, they are just as excited no matter if we are gone for 5 min, or a couple of hours, these little guys have certainly stole our hearts. I still always look forward to coming home to them. Suzi our yorkie is our dominate dog, very protective, and Miely is our shih tzu she rarely barks and is a total lapdog, she sleeps on my bed every night and has to be touching me. Suzi sleeps with my son every night, however she just was spayed a week ago and has not been able to jump up on his bed, so it has been rough on her. Now that she is all better things should get back to normal for everybody. |
