If my baby goes anywhere with me in this weather,she does NOT touch the ground,or the store floors or the buggie seats. My purse is a safe place. I did see doggies walking in the parking lot and I had to look the other way or I would of yelled at someone. I dont think that people realize how hot the blacktop is. I take one of my sandels off and place my foot on the ground. If it is to hot for my toes,its to hot for the baby's.
She stayed home today because it was just to hot to put her in and out of the car.

II'm pretty sure we hhave to change our rsvp...we can't make it. Moving has taken its toll on us physically, mentally, and financially. I really wanted to go, but Luma needs some normalcy, some routine. She has taken this move hardest. Poor thing is a nervous wreck and we just want her to be happy again. So we need some time to settle into the new place.

Hope y'all have a fab time!!

Can't wait to meet everyone Saturday! My mom has decided to come with me, my daughter and Mitzy :) My mom is also bringing her little dog who is a poodle mix! I hope that is ok! She is very tiny, 7-8lbs

Will be fine! My brother has a little weenie dog. She loves when my fur kids come to play! At Halloween, she was the hot dog and bevo and Mack were mustard and ketchup!

sounds like ya'll will have a great time, wish I was coming, if my folks were not coming to visit me from NY LOL I would probably fly in since Lola has been doing good on a plane. Not sure what your brothers back yard is like, but if he does not have a pool, you might want to get a big blow up kiddie pool, a lot of the meetups have them to help with the heat factor. Please make sure you take lots of pictures, and Thuy you must bring Daisy since other breeds will be there as well. LOL I read her FB page where she was feeling a bit left out:D.

Hmmmm... A pool... I did have a kiddy pool for the boys but now they just get in our pool with us! Anyone have a small pool they would like to bring?

I do have a hard blue plastic one. I'll bring it. I can also grab a small blow up one too. Can't have enough cool water lol

make sure to have some hard type floating squeaky toys for the pool, Misting hoses are also helpful, keeps the two legged kids cooled off as well. How hot do you think it will be. I know Lola gets hot because she has so much hair, so getting her soaked down before playing or walking outside is the best think for her,

It's been getting up to 108 here. Around 3:00 in the afternoon, you'll melt if you go outside. Although today we got a little rain and it was a nice little reprieve from the heat, but didn't last long.
