first time in our bed Well little zooey wouldn't sleep in her crate last night, so I put her in our bed. Well I woke up to hear her vomitting on my husbands pillow, yellow thick liquid stuff. Should I be worried? She did great sleeping with us till that happened. Good thing huuby had already left for work when it happened. She did wake up at 3 am when hubby woke up. So I took her to potty and we went back to sleep. Think she's OK? |
Toki used to have the occasional early morning yak where it was thin, yellow, and clear. I think it was from having an empty stomach. I just made sure that she ate breakfast when I woke up and gave her a later dinner so that her stomach wasn't completely empty for so long. We haven't had this issue since I started doing that. You might want to still consult with your vet, especially if there are other symptoms. |
i was going to say the same if cedric has an empty belly this will happen in the morning. maybe just put in a call to your vet to be safe but usually feeding will help settle his belly back down. hope she feels betta and really glad you hubby wasnt home what he doenst know wont stick to his head!! lol |
Yeah good thing hubby left for work before it happened. I think she did go to bed with not a full dinner. Because my other yorkie was caught eating the rest of her dinner up. |
I would be really worried about thick yellow stuff. My Yorkie used to vomit up clearish, foamy liquid when he went too long without eating, and the vet said that was normal and to try to not let him go too long without eating. But thick yellow vomit? That sounds very different. I would call the vet. Also if she wouldn't settle down in her crate last night, it might have been because she didn't feel well. |
I think it's an empty stomache too. Lucy did that once -- but swallowed the yuke back down before it came out. (I HATE the about-to-yuke noise!) She's such a dainty lady!:p Tracey |

Give a treat before bed time to hold her over until the morning. Mine always get a few pieces of Boiled Chicken Breast before bed time. |
The yellow is bile that is usually associated with the liver. It can happen when they have eaten something that upset the stomach. It is not uncommon but if it happens on a regular basis you should have her checked. She may not have wanted to settle down last night because of an upset stomach. |
