Tobys Spa Day 3 Attachment(s) I took Toby to get pampered today. He got the full works. I am not sure if I like how they cut him though. To me he looks so different and I am not sure if I like it yet or not. What do you guys think? The first pic is a before pic and the other 2 are after. |

I think I am just having a hard time getting used to it because I am used to the long hair over his eyes and now it is really short. I will get used to it. |

Toby is 6 months. He will be 7 months on the 25th. The groomer just did a feet, face, and potty area cut today. She told me not to cut his puppy coat yet, so I didn't. |
I thinlk for what she did he looks fine. If she had done the whole body then I would have said there was a problem since she didn't even his coat out. Did you want his face hair longer? Most groomers love to shave the nose to above the eyes in order to keep that area clean and to show their beautiful eyes. He is a cute little guy. Anyone who is not doing a topknot really needs to have the face kept trimmed up so that the hair stays out of the eyes. I would not have done the body at this point either. Let it grow out for a few more months and then decide what you want to do with it. Some people like to cut off the puppy coat. I did that gradually with Gracie. Just trimmed a little length at a time by evening out the ends. Of course if you prefer shorter hair then let them trim it shorter. If you have something in particular you want next time either take a picture with you to the groomer or explicit written directions. Even with that talk directly to the groomer before leaving your dog with the person. Would hate to hear another horror story about how a groomer did exactly opposite of what the owner wanted. |

Thank you everybody. His new haircut is growing on me. His face was cut a little shorter then what I wanted, but it will grow back. My husband came home yesterday and said he really liked his new look. I really like this groomer. She knows I do not like Toby having to stay in a kennel before or after he is cut, so I bring him in when she can get to him and she calls me as soon as he is done. They are always holding him and loving on him when I come to pick him up. He is still growing out from when we had a disaster with a mobile barber a few months back and he chopped him up real bad. I am trying to let his body grow out because of this, but as it grows it still looks choppy any advice? |
He is really handsome. And don't worry..if you want to grow it back their hair grows so quickly. :) |

If you want him to keep length on the body just have your groomer even the ends off with scissors. |
