I AM frustrated but I know it'll pass and by this winter, me, her and Gabby will be all piled up in the bed complaining it's cold and it'll be like this stage never happened.
I've had to step back several times and re-evaluate my expectations of her, remind myself that she's just a baby and just because she "got it" 10 minutes ago doesn't mean she'll "get it" now. Puppies are a tremendous amount of work but worth it because you inadvertently end up with the dog you wanted. The easiest way to break bad habits is to never let them start to begin with.
I DO wish there were such a thing as puppy boot camp though! I'd be in line handing her over! LOL |
I totally understand. Some dogs are alot easier to train and more managable than others. My bulldog was the worst to potty train, and still is potty training and like I said earlier, he is 7 months old. He is very stubborn and doesn't like to mind. I came home the other day and he chewed up the side molding on the door of my kitchen. I was so angry.
But I know that the puppy stage doesn't last that long, and I try and cherish every lil second of it. It's neat to watch their coat change also.
But I agree, they are ALOT of work. I dont watch TV, or do much when I have a baby. As soon as I get off work, I get down on the floor and play with them. It's the biggest de-stressor.
And I dont think you are alone about the boot camp. I'm sure there are alot of other furbaby mommies out there that feel the same way. |
