Molly has lost all vision in one eye now Took Molly to the vet because she had lose stool for two days, she has an infection so she is on antibiotics. When I took her I asked the doctor to check her eyes again as she has been running into things more now and she confirmed that she is completley blind in the left eye now and very little vision in the right. It is so sad to see my baby like this. I am doing all I can to help her. Now when we go out I have to constantly say her name so she knows where I am and she is getting carried around a lot more lately by my Grand daughter who has claimed her. I will make her as happy as I can and that is all I can do. I love my little Molly Joy |
Poor dear. It is an adjustment. I think a bit of blurred vision is worse than no vision. I have seen blind dogs that do very well as long as they are familiar with their surroundings. Is she diabetic? |
Awww I'm so sorry I will keep her in my prayers. |
It's so sad. Nikki lost complete site about 3 months ago and he is not adjusting well. He also can not hear so he has no idea where voices are coming from. My vet said to give him time to adjust but I think with the loss of hearing and smell he will not ever adjust. Hoping Molly adjusts to her loss of sight. I hate seeing them bump into things. |
Oh so sorry to hear about Molly... :(. But I bet you and Molly will have more bond and you will be her left eye for her:). xoxo |
Aw! Keeping Molly in my prayers.... |
I am so sorry about poor little Molly....You can put a jingle bell around your ankle so she can hear you walking and tell where you are.... |
My Paris went completely blind from Progressive Retinal Atrophy and continued to live a happy life. You can read about some of the things I did to help him adjust in his blog. I hope it helps you both! |
im sorry. i will keep molly in my thoughts. |
I am so sorry. I had a blind/deaf Hairless Chinese Crested. She was 14 years old when she lost her hearing, lost her sight a year before. She got by OK until she got senile and then would wander around totally lost. We had her put down when she got senile and had no quality of life left (about two months ago). But she did OK without her hearing and eyesight for quite a while. I must say though that it DOES break your heart. My prayers are with you. Louise |
i am so sorry to hear that |
