I'm in Florida now, but I grew up in tornado alley. There is often not time to collect things when the weather really gets rough. It wouldn't be a bad idea to put an extra harness and lead with the emergency stuff in your shelter, either, and dehydrated pet food, etc., and if you can, store their carry kennels there.
I am glad you were overlooked by the weather as far as the tornadoes are concerned. We ended up with flooding in this area from TS Debby, but except for a couple little branches in the yard, we personally were missed, too. | That has been pretty much the consensus. We have both an emergency and an EVAC pack in place. You can never be too safe! |
