never been so scared in my life!! took bella to the beach and after 2 seconds these staffys started running towards bella...and then she just started attacking her!! the jumped on top of her and i couldnt see bella at all! she was yelping and i was screamin g and crying and all my boyfriend could do was to kick them and they just wouldnt leave go! he finally picked bella up and she was shaking with her tail right between her legs and she has a little cut on her head :( i dread to think what would of happened if my bf hadnt of been there :( she seems ok now going to let her sleep in my bed to keep an eye on her :( im still shaking from it :((( |
omg... thank God your bf was there!!! That is one of my fears with my little ones. I am glad she is ok |
OH MY GOSH!!!!!!! I'm glad your baby seems to be okay. It might be a good idea to get your vet to take a look at her to make sure she doesn't have internal damage. Were the owners of the other dogs there? |
Unfortunately larger dogs see any small furry animal as a target just as yorkies see mice and rats as this. You are realy lucky the way thinks turned out. If its any consolation by the way you describe it if the dogs ment to kill her they would have done sounds like they were toying with her. She is one lucky little lady. I bet you are still shaking with the shock. |
thank you :) it was just a blur :( cant stop thinking about it :( |
crap I would have been terrified! In fact, I probably would have peed my pants if some random dog came out of no where and attacked my girls. Poor Bella! Isn't there a leash law on the beaches? If not, there certainly should be! |
yeah the owner was there...one of them had her by the neck and i didnt see what the other on was doing i was just crying :( just hope she is ok the was running round the garden fine afterwards didnt look in pain, ive felt her all over her body and shes showing no signs of pain...shes got a small graze on her forhead gonna see how she is tonight and tomorrow and gonna take her to the vets if she dosent seem herself x |
I NEVER take my baby off a leash when I am out in public, for just this reason! With a leash intact and connected to a harness that fits properly, you can at least swing your baby up into your arms and fend off an attacking dog with an axe handle or bear spray! |
oh my goodness!! Thank the heavens above that your baby is okay!!! My heart would have dropped to my stomach. Happy thoughts & best wishes your way <3 |
Many years ago, I was walking my standard poodle puppy on a leash when she was four months old and a little chihuahua dashed out and sliced up my poor puppy's underside before I could manage to get my puppy up into my arms. I was shocked that such a little dog could do so much damage and it scared my poodle so badly, she was never the same again. She was always fearful and terrified at anything new. It reminds me of the growth cycles mentioned about Yorkies, where they go through a real timid time again at about four months. I always grieved that I could not have protected my sweet puppy better, but she was so big already, I couldn't just swing her up into my arms--especially with a nasty little chihuahua hanging onto her skin from below! I hope your little dog turns out to be okay. I get very frustrated with inconsiderate dog owners who allow their aggressive animals free to cause torment to the sweet innocent others. |
Oh my gosh! So glad she's alive! I would have a vet look her over. They may have stood on her and could have caused some internal damage. Check her often for any skin discoloration and any abdominal swelling. Some bruises may not show up right away. Also, she could go into shock... |
omg, i cant believe this happened. i am so sorry! pls give bella a little hug and kiss from Ziggy and I! Thank godness your bf was there. oh i do hope she (and you) dont develope a fear of dogs after this |
How scary! What did the owners say to you? I can't believe they attacked her... I would have given them a tongue lashing! I'm so glad she's okay, but I agree... I would still have a vet look over her. My friend's chi was attacked by a pittie and seemed fine, but died due to internal injuries... |
Oh my gosh! I would have been scared too. Hope she is ok. 1 |
Glad she seems ok but I would still have a vet check her out and then I would file a complant with animal control. |
