I found a yorkie today!
 

Today my friends, Linda and Don, who lost their home to the flood, were getting a modular home set on their lot, so I was there for the big event. Oh happy day and it was also Linda's birthday! We set up across the street and watched and took pictures. Before any action started, we see a little yorkie running by and we tried to get him to come to us, but he ran out of site. We looked, but couldn't find him. Then we spotted him again and Linda had brought munchies along so I lured him to me with a treat. Thank goodness I caught him. He had a tag on that said his name was Chewie and the address wasn't too far from where we were. I took him there and got no answer. I called the number on the tag and got no answer. Once home, I gave Chewie a bath because he had gotten kind of yuckie from being on the loose. I finally gave up on anyone being home or answering and decided to call the police just to see if anyone had called in. Sure enough, a lady had called about a missing yorkie named Chewie. So, at 11:30 at night, Chewie was reunited with her. What a sweet little guy and the lady said he is an escape artist. When Chewie was a puppy he bit into an electrical cord and it was a miracle he survived, but he messed up his little mouth. That must be why he was always wet around his mouth. Here's a few pictures of Chewie...the one with the guy is a neighbor of Linda's and you'll likely notice all the weeds behind him. That's because it was in the flood area and it's still such a mess.

Aww what a happy ending to the story glad he had a tag that and someone like you who was so dedicateed to finding his home :)

Thank goodness Chewie came running by where you were Connie and thank goodness he was wearing a tag. I am sure his mom was so thrilled he was safe and sound:)

An incredible story and so happy you were able to reunite Chewie and his family. Fortunately for him, he was wearing a collar and tags!!!

1st. So glad it was a person like you who found him...he is so cute some people would have kept him!

2nd. So glad your friend is getting a place to call her own back...so much lost ..so sad

3rd. Chewy chewing on an electrical cord is why I believe in crating or playpen (ing) a young pup.. They can hurt themselves. My bailey chewed on a laptop cord.. Thank heavens it want plugged in:eek:

I was so happy when you called last night to say Chewie was reunited. You are so great to take him, bathe him and keep him safe until you could contact his owner. He is so cute.
I am beyond thrilled that Linda's house came and she will soon be in her own home once again.
