Should I get my Ariel groomed yet?? 1 Attachment(s) Ok my Ariel is 16 weeks old and her hair is outta control!!! She can hardley see sometimes lol! So idk if I should get her shaved or what!! |
First off, I would shave her ear hair. Their ears get weighed down with hair. Looking at your picture I would just brush her evey day until she is older. Maybe you will love the long hair look. I do. |
I think it depends on whether you intend to keep her hair short or not. I would have her trimmed up now just to have her more neat! |
Such a pretty baby!!! my Zachary looks a lot like she does! First if I can suggest something, Zachary's ears were both down till I shaved them. I started shaving/grooming him when I first got him the middle of May. Baths once a week, blow dry, using electric clipper. This I did more to get him used to all that stuff so his visits to the groomer will be easier on him. He gets better each time I do him but the first couple of times were MAJOR stressful on both of us. If you haven't already started, I would suggest you do so soon. I LOVE the floppy ears but my husband wanted them up. You might want to have a professional shave his ears is you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself and you want them to stand up. It IS stressful like I said at the beginning. Zachary is getting groomed Friday, for the first time. Your baby is adorable as she is. I would make my decision by what I liked. It IS a huge decision to make, kinda like your human baby's first haircut! Louise :animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa |
I groom Ziggy myself, just because I just do't trust anyone else (I'm a bit of a control freak, lol) But if you feel a groom could do a better job, then I say go for it. |
oh and by the way, the puppy stage is BAD on hair, i don't know how many times i wanted to cut Ziggy's hair off, but i hung in there, and I'm so happy I did |
