Best Carrier For Traveling To Fit Under Seat 2 Attachment(s) So Riley and I are going to Florida in August. I have a Kwigy-Bo [Large Black Alex], which he Loooooooves!!!! Do you think it is okay to put under the seat in front of me, for travel, or do you think it will cave in on him? I want him to be as comfortable as possible.... and am thinking maybe I should buy him the Medium Sherpa? We'll be going down on AirTran and then coming back on either US Air or Jet Blue. The Height requirement on AirTran is 8.5" high and Jet Blue says 8" High... but both the Kwigh-Bo and Sherpa are about 10.5" High. I mean, do they really measure... and is that really going to make a differance? I am sure I will be able to cram them both under the seat regardless...... |

When my best friend had her dog shiped to her I took the bag to the airport and asked if it was okay As far as I'm. Concerned its the only way to know for sure |

That looks like a great carrier, Theresa :). Whenever I've flown w/ the kiddos, no one has ever measured anything, nor have they ever asked for a health certificate. The one you have is similar to the one I use for Wylie (he is bigger). For Marcel, I've used a Celltei, which I love - so nice and well made! I don't think the one you have will collapse at all...there is usually some wiggle room w/ the measurements they give you. Also, a tip for flying during summer...I find it can get pretty warm under those seats since the A/C never reaches down there. In the past, I've put frozen gel packs under the carrier's interior pad (or, under their blanket) to add a bit of coolness. Other things to put under there are those freezable seed packs or whatever they're called. Have fun on your vacay, girly poo! :) |

I have flown with Remy in a kb bag. She was fine. Ask Lisa... she has flown many many times with Sugar in her kb bag. Have a great trip... enjoy |

I'm usually down in SouthBeach around New Years and again in March..... This trip I am flying into Ft. Myers to visit my niece for labor day weekend and then will be driving up to Largo, FL to spend the following weekend.... flying out of Tampa. Ft. Myers is AirTran and then Tampa is going to be either USAir or JetBlue... haven't decided just yet. :) |

I have the small Alex and just bought a large Alex. I also have a large (leather) KB. Yes, KB either has in the past, or still does, manufacture real leather bags. ( The one I purchased is now discontinued. ) http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI...#ht_702wt_1189 |

I actually bought a Sherpa to bring Gio home from Florida. He loved it so much, he sleeps in it at my feet, and that is now his "traveling bag". Both Gio and Natty fit in it. It fits the airline's requirements. It is good and sturdy ann has room for him to turn around if he wants. |
