Help with Harness for Car Seat
 
I have a question and I just don't know the best answer....I'm ordering a snoozer seat for my new car seat for my dogs.. But regarding the harness to use.... My dogs are in clothes a large percentage of the time, but the harness that I see recommended for the seat is one that would have to be worn by itself vs. over clothes.

Obviously, my precious babies' safety is BY FAR the PRIORITY over them having cute clothes on!!! But, I'm just wondering if anyone has used any harness that is safe with the car seat and that also fits over their clothes. I used to have them in their little carry bag in their outfits when they went places with me, but now I am needing to start using a harness for when I want to leave the top open...so I am in the same predicament for the bag... So I'm just wondering what everyone else does.

First, I must disclose that I am retailer of harnesses and I am a certified Buddy Belt fan-atic. :)

Most harnesses will fit over clothing, but I love the Buddy Belt because it is so easy and fast to put on and take off. Depending on where your pup fits in the size range, there should be enough room to fit over clothes because the BB is adjustable. There are cases where pups fit at the top range of a BB size, and there isn't room left for clothes, while the next BB size is too big.

I also love that the BB doesn't come anywhere near the neck and it doesn't have to go over the head.

We love the buddy belt also!

Why can't you put the harness under the clothes? I do this with the buddy belt with no issues. And it works even if the clothes doesnt have a "hole" for the harness D-ring. I also have a snoozer for Ahi.

I would never have thought to put the harness under their clothes:) that's a good idea, and I definitely haven't tried it!! That's why I wanted to ask bc I knew everyone here would know some things that I had to be missing. I am also going to look more into the Buddy Belt! thankyou!

I don't have a buddy belt, just step-in harness, but we just adjust it and put it over the clothes that don't have whole for the ring. works A-OK :D

I do this with the Ultra Easy ChokeFree & PawRider Pet Seatbelt Adapter (USA) harness as well. I don't like the look of clothing spoiled by a harness ;) :D

I do both. I have harness that go with different outifts:). I put the harness over her outfits when we go out... I also LOVE the Choke-free harness (yes.. I do sell them.. but that is because I love them..thanks to Lisa:rolleyes:)

Also... most of Remy's dress have a d ring and I use that. And some times I put the dress over the harness. It is fine all three ways.

We use our BB from Kristin with our car seat. :)
