Life before your yorkie? What was your life like before you got your yorkie(s)?!? I can barely remember . I've only had Sophia for a bit over a year, and Brody for much less! I remember being bored a lot & having more $ in my bank account... but that's about all I can remember! Now my life just revolves around these dogs & I wouldn't have it any other way. I can honestly say I don't get bored anymore , and I'd gladly give up all of my $ to have these pups. My life has changed so much for the better. It's amazing how much love these dogs have to give and I'm so fortunate to have both of them:2hearts2:. I get so sad thinking about what my life would be like without them. ... so what do you remember about your life before your yorkie?!? |
I only had Joel about 5 months and he's my first dog of my own, and before him it was just Rosco whos a little boring from getting older, ofcourse I still love him lol but Im soooo happy I have my Joely Ravioli now! And I cant believe how much I love him, he follows me everywhere! |
The question is "Is there life before a Yorkietalk?" Just kidding. Mrs. Beasley is over ten, my oldest grandson was 4 months old when she came into our lives. She is as much a part of the g-kids lives as she is ours. They expect me to take her to their ball games. Mrs. Beasley has been a great addition to our family. |
It's been too long ago for me to remember! |
I had more money, no dog clothes, no bows, and I didn't home cook for any of our dogs. What I didn't have before I got my Yorkies was two precious girls to give me kisses each morning, a greeting committee when I come home, the joy of hearing their paws running through the house playing, and all the love they bring. I have all this now. :) My girls have filled this void. |
After my Shih Tzu passed away I decided I was never going to have another dog so I spent many months without one. One day it dawned on me that this was just no way to live! When I went to pick up Gracie I was all excited about getting a puppy. On the way home I was thinking, "What the heck have I gotten myslef into??" That was the last negative thought I had about this little girl. She has given me a few challanges but she has been well worth working though them. She is just the best little girl I could have gotten. |
Aww Sarah :) I feel the same way about Luma. I sometimes will think of this and ask the bf, what would we be doing right now if we didn't have Luma? We've only had her three months...THAT seems ABSURD!!! I can't believe my little girl has only been in the world half a year. I love her so muxh, and we didn't see getting a yorkie as making a sacrifice. She just made our life even better. Without her, I wouldn't have explored College Station and found the dog park, a place we ennjoy going to just as much as Luma does. Without her we wouldn't know the lovely woman who bred her. Without her we wouldn't be as close of a couple as we are now. And I wouldn't have any of you! *Shudder* what a bleak world lol!! |
Good morning all! :D Life before Harry.....hmmmm!!! VERY quiet! Much TOO quiet!! ;) We too lost our Rosie labrador a few years back - and I said "never again" due to the heartbreak, and thinking we could never go through that again, just couldn't bear it. But time does soften and heal, and bitter tears turn into happy, unforgettable memories... So anyway, I was a childrens Nanny, but gave it up a couple of years ago as my parents are now elderly and need a lot of care...however the rest of the time seemed so empty and quiet and dull - Andy working all the hours and my kids have left home....so then came Harry!!! :happyboun And he's actually done my parents the world of good too - another aspect to their lives... Fortunately England's VERY dog-friendly on the whole, I don't know of a country pub with great food in our area that doesn't take dogs, for instance, so Harry's just kind of slotted in with exactly what we used to be doing - but made every moment of every day a million times better...:D Sally + Harry x |
Oh my goodness!!! Sorry!!! And we wouldn't have found Yorkie Talk either - what a boring existence THAT would be now....:D x |
I was never home and party party party all the time. Now if the boys can't come I am not going and I have a few drinks when we go out but nothing that would cloud my ability or judgement as I have to always be aware of my boys. Can't believe but they have changed so much about my life and I couldn't be happier |
My life before Georgie involved a lot more being out and about and a lot less being at home. I personally love the latter:) I feel like he definitely prepared me for motherhood. As a puppy we had sleepless nights, accidents and playtime at 1am:eek: He has brought so much joy to our lives and my husband and I love him to pieces! |
boring and lonely! |
Thanks for sharing, Everyone. Personally, in a short phrase, there was less love. Tatiana brings a large measure of love and heart-warming to my life. She's a gift from God, as far as I'm concerned. :) |

It doesn't really matter what my life was like before. :p I've had lots of other babies, and still have kitties, too. What matters now is just how much FUN I am having with Brody and Mia in our family...how many kisses I am getting...and whether or not there is enough bed for DH and I to sleep on that is NOT occupied by a Yorkie...:D |
to be frank, my life was so bad before Ziggy, I was in an unhealthy relationship, unemployed, just horrible place. Now I have my own events company and am planning to move out into my own place in the next 6-9 months and ofcourse i ended it with my x. all of this was possible because of ziggy, i believe he showed me how strong i was and i had a reason for working hard and building a better life for us. He is My Daily Blessing and when i'm feeling low, all i have to do is look at him and i know what matters! I love him beyond love, he is my doggy soul mate |
Always had a dog before Bella. But my oh my, the personality this little girl has, most deffinately has been a blessing for our house. She has filled a void from loosing a furbabie that we had for 14 years, and now fills our home with laughs. She's one of the first things my Grands say when they see me. Belwa. I will agree, I had more money, before yorkie. But like many others, I'd gladly pay that money out to have such a treasure in my life. The money just doesn't make me as happy as she does. Totally priceless. |
Oh my...was I really 'living' before Katie Scarlett came into our lives?! LOL! I honestly do not know how I got by without her before. She means everything to us and makes life such an enormous blessing. She keeps us laughing, keeps us company, and makes our home complete. I am amazed every single day how much I love our little girl! I hope she will be with us for a long, long time. She has truly changed my life and I thank God for her every single minute! |
It was boring! lol... No I traveled a lot more, and was perfectly willing to leave for days and weeks on end, but now with Jackson, I can't do that and I am perfectly ok with that. I know my dad WOULD take him if I needed to travel for long periods but I honestly don't want to... I hate leaving him! I think we both have separation anxiety from each other LOL. Umm I'd probably have a lot more money. haha. |
Like many others have said, I can't really remember and it's only been 4ish month! But it's been the most enjoyable 4ish months I've had and I wouldn't change it for the world :D Having Dexter has made me grow-up a bit more, actually taking care of something that depends on me has been a great experience and I never thought I would love him this much haha I actually have more money than before! I enjoy staying in more and really don't feel the need or want to be away from him for too long. ...and I would never have found YorkieTalk obviously :D |
Life before Yorkie was boring. Was new to the country, no friends, life was lonely. With Pao, he was my constant companion to new places I go to. He was also my first passenger when I learnt how to drive when no one else dared to sit in the car lol. Money wise, it isn't all that much to me because I do my own grooming, used to do my own cooking. The only thing that you have to save for is vet fees & some training lol. |
Life before Yorkies..we have always been homebodies so that hasn't changed. The biggest change is we never take the Harley out anymore..and we used to ride every weekend. I miss it at times and we could still go, but we hate leaving Jada and Bogie home alone since we both work all week. I wouldn't trade my time spent with my babies for all the motorcycle rides in the world. Our home is much more fun now and these little guys filled a big void left when our kids grew up. Nothing better than coming home to two little furbutts who are so excited to see you after a long day at work. |
