neutering next friday My gizzy boy is 8 months old (in 1 day) and getting fixed next friday- I was scrolling thru YT to see how other people handled it and came on a post that one issue was a change of personaility, potty habits..I just got him trained 80% now to go outside, so I am a bit worried. He is such a loveable baby and so sweet, not dominate at all- which is good since our older female rhodesian ridgeback mix is -so worried that it will change- I am neutering him I guess cause that is what you do- my female was fixed before we rescued her. So tell me not to be so paranoid, that he will still be my baby. |
He should be fine... most go through it with no problems...:D |
I'm sure he will do really well. You'll be surprised how quickly these little guys can bounce back. :D Good luck with the surgery!!:) |
I have had many dogs neutered/spayed and NONE have had any personality changes. In fact, my vet does it at 6 months before the males have a chance to lift their leg to pee and with the exception of 2, all of them squat to pee. Don't worry. Zachary will be neutered the end of July. I will be nervous too I suppose even though I have gone through it multiple times. We just love our babies. Louise |
I've had two male dogs neutered and I never experienced any personality changes OR weight gain, or any negative consequences at all. In fact, my maltese, still 'liked' his stuffed bunny (aka LoveBunny) even after his neuter. Didn't impact him at all. Good Luck! |
