OMG! Rosie Marie!! I have Rosie outside today taking pictures of her. She is standing on our little wicker table outside while I am taking pictures like crazy. It is nice and quiet and I am not paying attention to anything but Rosie. All of a sudden, she jumps down and takes off running!! I do not have shoes on and I have to run after her. She is chasing a DEER!:eek: She has done this with squirrels but a deer!!???? Come on!!! Needless to say, I was not a very happy camper with my freshly bathed dog when I caught up to her. :( I guess she is going to have to start having inside photo shoots or a harness on!! Anyway, she is all curled up in my lap now. I guess deer hunting wore her out! :D |
Ha ha.... So cute.:) We forget sometimes they are hunters! |
oh, my I wish we had a video of you running after her:D:eek: I just messaged you on FB, to see if you were having trouble with YT, but I guess it's fixed now. did you get any good photos?? |
HAHAHA Rosie wanted deer meat for dinner next week:p |

after reading your post the first time, I realized a song called Rosie by a local artist was playing on my CD player, I thought that was a cool coincidence:cool: |
We don't get deer as we live in a townhouse neighborhood. My little hunter likes to chase birds and bugs. He's only been mildly interested in squirrels, but they also don't come into the yard. |
We live in a suburban neighborhood, but it is bordered by woods. A few nights ago Maggie went wild at 11pm barking. I couldn't catch her, it was her bark telling me something is out there, but i couldn't see anything. Finally I saw the 3 deer step onto the sidewalk across the street. There is woods behind the houses across the street. She saw them way before i did and was trying to alert us to the vicious attack deer....I wonder what she would have done if I let her outside?? Probably chase them into the woods and I'd never see her again! THese pups sure think they are tough. |
LOL! You little stinker, Rosie. Jackson did this one - except it was a whole herd of them (are deer a herd or a flock? LOL) Anyways... he took off and at first I panicked - then I had to laugh. Here was my 16lb dog rounding up probably 10-15 deer who were all terrified of him, LOL. Poor things. We live on 3 acres but our backyard is 90 acres of farmland so we get a lot of them. That was the only time he's actually seen them and decided to make a run for it  He broke a leash in the process. He came running back completely filthy and VERY proud. |
Yep, Rosie wanted venison. Tell her that's what Izzy and Luna had for breakfast (Natural Balance) |

Does Rosie eat kibble? Maybe she was trying to go RAW ! :D |
That funny little Rosie! This story made me think of the winter of 2010 when we had such a bad winter and so much snow, that the deer were always coming into our yards. One day I let the pups out to potty and Maddie and Libby tore off to the back part of the yard. Next thing I know, Maddie is chasing three deer and they were headed right for Libby. I was so scared Libby would be trampled as she sat there, but the deer just took a jump and leaped right over her...then over the fence and they were gone. |
Sounds like a typical Yorkie!!! I think my Tibbe would chase an elephant if he saw one. They've got such prey drive & don't think. |
