Patti, That is so wonderful of you to have donated his eyes to the eye bank. It sounds just like something you would do, because you are such a kind, compassionate, and giving person. Just put yourself first right now, as you said. You've got to take care of you! Love ya!

I'm so glad to know that they were able to use his eyes. I have been stressed because I was signed up as an organ donor and having cancer, was concerned they wouldn't be able to use anything.

I am sorry for your husbands passing, but know that your donation has given someone a gift-and the knowledge of being able to donate has given your fellow YTer a sigh I relief.


On a side note, my kids found out last night that their grandpa on their dads side has stage IV lung cancer. I automatically thought of you and your husband's battle. I was shocked to come here this morning and see this post. My heart broke for you as it is also breaking for my kids as they prepare for the inevitable.

Patti, donating Ken's eyes was a wonderful and generous thing to do to help others.

I'm glad you have your beautiful furbabies to love and comfort you right now. Do take care of yourself and your needs. You remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Patti I am so sorry for your loss I loss my husband a couple years ago and I know what you are going through, let me say time will help you heal.just take it one day at a time, the first year I was so lonely and some one said get you a dog so I took their advice and go me this darling little yorkie I had no idea how she would help with my sorrow and lonely days I thank God everday that he gave her to me to love and take care of, I know that your furbabies will help you through the lonely days ahead. I am from Arcola Illinois 30 miles south of the University of Illinois, where in Illinois are you?

I know how devastating Ken's passing has to be for you. I'm so sorry you are going through this. He is with God now and is at peace. I pray knowing this will give you some peace as well. I'm glad you a have friend there with you. I just called Claire to tell her. She is so very sad also. Please take care of yourself. You have so many people that wish you well and that love you.

I am sorry for your loss. I miss him so much it hurts. It is good to hear that time will help. I live in Northern Illinois by the Wisconsin border. Thanks so much.

I've been away from YT since Sydney died.

I am so very sorry to learn that Ken has passed away.

May you find comfort in knowing that Ken is free of pain, and in Heaven, and one day, will be together again.
