Trembling ????? Hi everyone. Ive been very naughty not posting here for some time, but anyway Missy is now nearly 4 years old, still on her PB for her fits, but my main point is to ask does your yorkie tremble when you talk to her/him? This has started for a little while now and Id be intrested to see if this is common or not...........thank you in advance :D Oh I would just like to point out Missy is a very nervy little girl,if anyone goes to pet her,she pulls away,Oh she will bark like mad,but you go to say hi and she's off....been like that since she was 6 weeks old.:( |
I've learned over time that Roxy sometimes shakes/trembles just from excitement, not fear. It did take awhile to figure this out. Is there anything in her behavior that you could interpret as happy excitement? When I reach to pick up Roxy from the floor, she will usually lower herself down on her right shoulder and scootch herself around in a circle keeping just beyond my reach as if to tease me and play a game of keep-away. I've learned that if I coax her up onto a chair or something, she doesn't resist me picking her up at all. She loves all dogs & people, so she doesn't really want to be left out of anything, just has her little games. Petting at home is pretty much on her terms when she wants it. If she's not in the mood, it's 'Oh well too bad, so sad!' She's such an independent stink pot! ;-) When we are out places & run into people, she's all wiggly excited to be close & want the petting & getting acquainted. Good luck! |
Oh Hi! Long time, no see... Welcome Back! Hope things are going better for you... I'm wondering if her behavior may have something to do with her fits/medication. Might be just the way her brain works... did you talk to your vet about this? He may have more insight.... |
That's a good point! |
Roxyluv....she sounds familar regards the crouching down to be picked up lol.....but I dont think its anything to do with the meds.....Oh she runs to hide when its time to take them, but other than that she's fine.....Its a bit like when I talk she wants to be felt sorry for if that makes sense....I must say I have spoilt her much to my childrens dismay....but she's now my baby as they have all flown the nest now:). A point I would like to add is that when I stroke her lower back she reacts with jerky movements,a bit like when you rub the belly and the nerve in the leg jerks...its quite strange, again like a trembling type movement. I am going to the vets today and shall ask them ;) |
