Anyone have a dog pool float? 3 Attachment(s) I saw this in my GW Little catalog and am thinking about ordering one. I blew over $100 last week on a bike basket that turned out to be not so wonderful, so thought I'd be a little smarter before this purchase and ask if anyone actually has one and if they like it or not. I'm wondering does it absorb water, and if so, does it dry out quickly? And. is it as stable as it looks in the video and not tip over if the dog moves around slightly? thanks for any input :) As you can see in my pics, ZoE has her own lil pool, but she really wants to go in the bigger one with me :D |
Ziva and Abby just use a little short body board- they have very good balance. I think I'll check walmart for a kiddie float. Thanks for the idea! |

This afternoon, I went looking through boxes in the garage hoping to find something from my last house I could use as a float for ZoE (I had an inground pool there) and came across my son's old skim board. It's wood and has a grip pad on the top. I tossed it in the pool and sure enough it floated! Then I tried to put ZoE on it, and the slightest movement and it flipped and off she flew into the water and was swimming frantically to the nearest wall . |
My son taught Ziva a little at a time, she has a stocky, solid body. Abby is like a gazelle, long and wirey. I find her in amazingly high places and wonder how she got there! She watched Ziva in the pool and just did the same- great exercise for them (already to hot to walk). |
That float is so cute and a great idea :) |
look good but the problem I see, is if they jump in they will probably not be able to get back on it. |
I did not know you had a poo:cool:, Lola and I will be over for a pool party, I have a few floats i will bring along with Mojitos :D |
oh my dogs would love one of those.. I have a pool for the dogs but they enjoy a dip in the big pool with me.. I have to check it out.. hugs, |
