Look what I found!!!!!!! 2 Attachment(s) I found this little guy posted on craigslist. His owner says he has papers, he will be a year old later this year, and needs a haircut. They are asking a rehoming fee. I have contacted them but have not heard from them yet. It was just posted at 4 this morning. Tell me what you guys think. |
He's a cutie!! Ask for vet records if you're getting him. Take him to the vet ASAP and have them check for a microchip. (hey, you never know) Good luck! I hope you get a response soon. |
Unfortunately nobody called me back. It was posted at 4 this morning and I started responding at 8 this morning. I just hope this litttle guy is okay, he does not look like he is well taken care of. My husband who was not crazy at first with me getting a little dog since he has always had big dogs was the one that said get a hold of them I want him. He loves Toby so much, Toby has him wrapped as much as he has me, but to hear him be so excited when he saw this little guy was surprising. I think he is hooked on the yorkie breed just like me now. He was already talking about getting him and giving him a bath, and making a vet appointment and the whole nine yards. I think he is dissapointed that they haven't called back. It makes me wonder because they said call or text need him gone ASAP, and now they do not answer phone calls or text messages. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. |

Please don't give up just yet. This poor little guy looks like he desperately needs SAVED. Maybe they are moving & just have not been able to answer yet. Also check the shelter as they may have taken him there. |
I'm still cruising Craigslist hoping to find my stolen Choppa and when I searched yorkie this ad came up in the outside my area part but I still looked. I emailed them for you just asking it he has been rehomed for you. I will let you know if I get a response. |

Okay guys I got back on Craigslist this time they took their phone number off and said to contact them by e-mail so I have. I will see if they contact me this time. |

maybe they stole him and are selling him on craigslist as rehoming I think asking them for his microchip # too would be a wise idea and copies of the ownership since they are rehoming if he's registered wouldn't you have to be noted on his papers as his new owner |

I am starting to get a bad feeling about all of this. Now they changed back to the phone number they had originally. I wrote them an e-mail telling them I would love to give their little guy a new loving forever home. I told them I already knew what the breed requires because I already have one little boy yorkie and that we could set up a meet and greet, so we could see how him and Toby got along together, and so they could feel comfortable with us taking him, and I also said I would send them pics of him, so they would know how he was doing. I still have not got a response. I have prayed about it and now just waiting on an answer. I have looked around for ads on missing yorkies to see if he had been taken, but the only one I have found is a little girl yorkie, so I still am not sure. It is in Gods hands now. |

There are all kinds on Craigs List. It could be there is a debate about getting rid of the dog or they could have conflicting schedules. Just don't go alone if you can help it or set up a meeting in a very public place. |

It is hard to understand why someone would take the time to put an ad with a picture online and then not bother to respond to people who try to contact them. I hope they will at least take the time to let you know. |
What's the story with the rehoming fee? I am wondering if they're trying to see if they can start a bidding war for this poor baby. Good luck, I'll pray that even if you don't get this little one that he'll get a great home:hands: |

I think there is a limit to what they can charge on Craig's list for "re-homing." I don't remember what it is. I think it is around $100.00. People will usually report a post if they ask much more for it. Of course they can say whatever they want when people come to pick up the pet. |
