This person is clearly ignorant of they differing types of yorkie coat. Silk is not the only recognised yorkie coat as we all know. Maybe she should research her chosen breed before opening her ignorant mouth ! And by the way I looked at your pics SHE IS NOT FAT by any stretch of the imagination.

I don't care if Sophie was a mutt it is no reason that a human being should be so cruel. That lady is an embarrassment to our breed(humans). No human being should be so judgemental and harsh about an animal. Sophie can never be an embarrassment to her breed or any breed. I am really angry about this.There is no perfect animal just like no perfect person. I can understand your hurt and shock but don't let this get you down.

Wow! You have really struck a cord here. I'm sure we can all think of things we would have liked to have said to the lady but we have the advantage of sitting her thinking about it while you were so caught off guard by such cruel words.
As many have said; that kind of person has a sick soul. I thank God that most people have the ability to keep their bad opinions to themselves. She has the worst kind of sickness.

I love your thoughts on Sophia and wish you could have told the lady that! While I'm a firm believer in only buying from breeders who breed to standard, no one should be allowed to critique our pets, it's senseless and mean. Only potential breeding dogs should be evaluated regarding standard, not our pets! I pity this woman's friends and family, they must be sick of her cruel and unnecessary comments.

I really feel sorry for that little "perfect" yorkie. If she doesn't stay "Perfect" or as she gets older she may very well be looking for a new home because it sounds like her owner will only tolerate "perfection". So sad and so very rude of that person.

I would not have been agressive to the "lady" either.. I may have thought of a lot of stuff but that doesn't mean I would act on it. I may have said.. "wow.. that is my baby you are talking about"..Or just "wow"

WOW!! how come this stuff doesn't happen to me?! i would have been sent to jail for what i would have told that woman! Just plain rude and ignorant, and I'm trying to be nice here. BTW...Sophia is quite simply BEAUTIFUL!

whoa! this is so shocking to me! I think all yorkies 2lbs or 20lbs and every coat, floppy ears or perky, long tail or short are Little Beautiful Blessings. This woman clearly does not love yorkies or dogs, she just wanted another accessory. How sad!

I would have been SO MAD!!!!! I'm mad now!! and I don't even know you!!! I probably would have told her that she was the rudest person I have ever met!!!!! And who does she think SHE is!!! I agree with one of the posters!!! I probably would have told HER SHE was an embarrassment to to human race! WENCH!

I would of told her that evidently her parents did not have the proper testing for temperment because she is lacking in manners completely. I get told all the time that Laddy is a silky. Most of you have seen pictures of him and he is an obvious yorkie. I have learned to just ignore the yorkie snobs.
