My poor Maddie Maddie Jo hasn't grown out of being car sick...(yet...I still have faith!) and we have a convertible that we take out for a ride in the evening when it cools off. So, tonight I got up from my desk to head for the garage and the girls started to follow me down the hall. I told them 'Mom & dad are going for a ride, we'll be back in a little bit...Maddie Jo, if you still didn't get sick we would take you for a ride with us.' I turned around to find Megan at my feet and Maddie Jo standing back at the end of the hall looking at me with her head and tail down as if to say 'Oh Mom, please don't make me go for a ride'. All I could do was laugh at her, give her a hug and put her on the back of the couch in the front window where they wait for us until we come home. My poor Maddie...maybe someday we'll be able to go for a ride without a puke bag... |

ahhh, have you tried dramamine for her, or something from the vet? |
Awww poor thing, Joel is 5 1/2 months and still gets car sick. We give him Dramamine, and we went on a long ride and he didn't "get sick" for the first time, but then later he did, it still works better then not using it. |
Yoshi used to get car sick and the vet gave him Hydroxyzine for his allergies and it helped with the car sickness too. Yoshi has always been a little nervous and hates changes, is your baby this way? |
What a little sweetie. |
Even a little Benadryl might help;) Dramamine is basically an antihistamine. Don't know if it's safe for our pups or not though. Poor baby girl!!! I'm sure she'd love cruising in your convertible if she didn't get motion sickness:( |
Yah, we do use Benadryl or something from the vet when we travel and we withold food before a long trip but it would be nice to scoop her up and just go for a cruise without having to 'prepare' for it :) Megan grew out of it but Maddie Jo never did...she is getting better though. |
Oh poor Maddie Jo. |
