New Puppy, advice Hello everyone. It's been a little while since I've been active on here.:( I am in need of some advice and suggestions. My Coco is currently 4 and we are getting a new Yorkie this week. I LOVE my baby and we are VERY close as I'm sure you all can relate to. I'm worried she won't like the new puppy. Ultimatley I wanted it as a companion for her. Any suggestions on how to make the transition easy for her??? |

good luck/ my papillion did not like morgan for about a month but now it is fine/ she lets him know when he gets out of line |
as said by another the previous post , there is no one way that is right for everyone. like with my dogs for example , i brought oscar home at 11 weeks , i sat in the kitchen with him ( a gate seperating us from the other two dogs) and let them get to know each other for about 10 minutes then just put him down and they all get along perfectly to this day. of course that would not work for everyone. my advice would be to take your resident dog with you to pick up the new puppy and introduce them on nuetral ground. just supervise from then on |
