Humane Society find what do you all think they are saying yorkie mix. He has an underbite and maybe chihuaha? Animal Details |
I think chihuahua, too. Very sweet and cute.:p |
Would an underbite have any health concerns? He was chewing up a rawhide which of course I would never give him. Maybe Jack Russell? or Chiuaha? He is so cute. |
I can't think of any reason that an underbite would cause problems. If anybody would know, LadyJane could tell you. I think he's cute and so young. |
Are you getting him? When?:D He's very cute and look at those eyes! |

I have a hold on him. He just had his neuter and can't come out till Thursday. My son liked the dog in the next cage a finnish spitz but it gets up to 40 pounds a bit too big for me. |
Do you think Paris would mind? I mean I love Paris and still miss him with all my heart and a part of me feels wrong to get a new dog so soon. My heart is breaking as I write this. But a huge smile was on my face when I saw the pup. Am I nuts? |
Aw...he's a little sweetheart. He sure looks like a happy little fella, I bet he'll have a heart of gold. :D |

Yes rawhides can swell in their throats and choke them. |
Underbites are "graded" differently....some are minor, and they go all the way to major! His underbite does not look too severe and I doubt seriously would cause him any issues. About rawhide: If they swallow a piece of the rawhide (leather!), it can cause an intestinal blockage, which requires surgery to remove. Mine only get rawhide bones under close supervision and when they get the end all soft and chewy, I cut that off with kitchen shears, and make them start all over again! They NEVER get to chew rawhide unless I am right there, watching....and they get the medium bones, which are almost too big for them to be carrying around....dont want any little short pieces getting swallowed or stuck in their mouth or throat. |

She is now 11 and very health for a 77 year old youngster. I would not worry about it unless she/he has trouble eating |

My female Japanese Chin, Yoshi, has an underbite. We feed her BilJac dry food because it is not as hard for her to chew. She also gets dehydrated foods...Stella and Chewy, Addiction, Grandma Lucy's. She can eat other dry food but it is hard for her because her toofers don't match up.:D |
BTW, I only give cow hooves to my 6. Rawhide makes me nervous. They have always had hooves and don't know any better I guess. |
I think Paris would approve. I know if I died and I could give my family anything to ease their grief and pain, I would send it to them from heaven, if I could. That puppy is adorable. Maybe a little chihuahua mixed in. (My sis has wawas and she thinks, she sees some in that adorable little face.) About being nuts ? I think we are blessed to have a touch of 'Noah' in our heart, we find joy in Gods creatures that others never know. :) |
That little puppy is so adorable:love: I think that Paris would want you to be happy and that puppy makes you happy. He will not be replacing Paris, but instead creating his own space in your heart and life. I think we all as dog lovers need to have a furry kid to put our love into. We never forget those that have passed, but we also need to live:love: |
I'm so glad you are getting a new dog! I'm sure Paris would be very happy for you. Can't believe they are giving that puppy one of those rawhide bones! The ends of them are particularly dangerous. Some dogs with bite issues do have a hard time chewing hard foods while others don't seem to have a problem. I guess it depends on how the teeth mesh as they chew. I'm sure you will find something that will work for him. Can't wait to see more pictures of him! |
