Rough play resulting in bald spot The girls got their weekly bath last night and brush out. Poor Gabby. Issy apparently pulled on her topknot during play and pulled a big chunk of hair out. Now she has a dime sized bald spot right in the center of the top of her head. It's kinda sore looking, though she's fine with me touching it. Since it's on the top, do you think I can put some neosporin on it? I just don't want to irritate it, so I can't put her hair up. I hate the "Animal" look she has when it's down and her hair gets in her eyes. Gotta figure out how to pin it up out of the way without putting it up in a hair tie. Any suggestions? |
These bald spots are mostly due to having the rubber band put too tight & close to the head and it eventually pulls the hair out and even leaves a scab. If Issy really did pull the hair out of Gabby's head, then I would either cut Gabbys hair short on top or try and train Issy not to do this. |
Poor Gabby!!!! I use these itty bitty clips that you squeeze to make them come apart and then when you let go they grip the hair that Walmart sells in the baby department. If you can find the hairbows in the baby department you should see a package of these clips in with with tiny scrunchies and barretts. They are pink, lavender and blue. I part Macy's hair in the middle of her head and put one of these tiny clips on each side so she looks like she has pig tails on top of her head. They stay in really well and it eliminates the stress on the hair of being in a band on top of her head. |
