My Baby Has Dermatitis In Her PEE PEE
 
So I took Ruby to the vet because I notice that a thick yellow discharge was coming out of her vulva . I was worried and made an appointment immediately with the vet to have this checked out. Well it turned out that was normal according to my vet but he did say she had dermatits in her vulva because it was red in the immidiate area around it and in the fold on it to. So they gave me antibiotics a medicated shampoo for that area only and a topical spray and they want me to come back in two weeks to check the progress. Do your babies have this yellow discharge and if so can you tell me what it is and if not can you still tell me. :animal36

Poor Ruby Cupcake! That must be very uncomfortable for her. Has she been spayed?

My female yorkie never has but my boxer did from the time she was a small puppy. The vet called it Vaginitis. He gave an antibotic for her to take for ten days but it never went away. He said that lots of puppies got it and it was normal and she would most likely have it until her first heat. It did finally stop after she was about ten months old.

I hope your baby feels better soon.

Mine doesn't have it bad , thank god, but its not really the pee pee its self but the skin in the fold above it and also in the strip of skin between between the anus and there. I am hoping hers will go away soon because I am very consistent with medication when its give to her cause ijust want to see her get better. I have dealtwith problems since she was a puppy so I am used to the regimens of giving meds. :thumbup:

Can anyone tell me what the yellow discharge is. Its kind of what the males have but I had never seen it in a female. Maybe a breeders has encountered this. My vet said it might be because she is in heat but her vagina isn't swollen , she is not spotting and I have never her of this kind of discharge during heats. She is 9 months though and hasn't had her first one just yet. :confused: :confused: :confused:

Gucci has never had a discharge, so i really dont know. I just wanted to say that I hope she gets better soon. Please keep us posted.

She isn't uncomfortable or so it seems. I need some to tell me though what this discharge is. Maybe a breeder can answer my question. :confused:
