oh my god everywhere I go Teegy has to come to the toilet with me |
If I am walking in and out of rooms in my apartment then he'll follow me. If i'm just sitting on the couch or laying on my bed, then he goes about his business. Occasionally he'll lay with mommy but usually he'll just eat, find toys to play with or whine cause I'm not playing with him. He loves being in the kitchen though for one reason and that's cause there is food in there and his treats are there too lol |
As you can read bby our replies, Yorkies love to be with their people. Of my 4Yorkies, Gracie is the one, who is closer than too tight underwear. She follows me from room to room and even from chair, to sofa. Ginny Joy is content to stay put, if she can see me. Abba Boy will go off by himself and take a nap, Rubin is as content with Hubby as with me. And Lily is hubby's Lab, she prefers to be with him. |
Yup my two follow me everywhere...right now im sitting on the lazy boy, with both kids on either side of my hip, I had to get up to make myself a cup of tea....turn around to go and sit back down, almost spilled my tea...both were there right behind me, I had almost tripped over Raelle....AND she's looking at me like "what you didnt see me right there, look where your're going" with her 6.5lb self! I swear Orion was laughing at me doin the two step to avoid tripping/stepping on them and still trying not to spill my tea!Sheesh...I love it though! wouldn't have it any other way. |

Oh yes! Shelby can't have me out of her sight. I have to be careful when I go outside without her and make sure she doesn't get the door shut on her. When I sit down she has to be right in my lap "the nest". I LOVE that she is this way :) |

Mine follow me too, mostly Sapphire though. She sits by my feet in the kitchen when I'm preparing food and cooking... like I can't cook without her. And all pile into the bathroom... they even have the cats joining in. Four dogs and three cats and me in a tiny bathroom! Too funny!:D |
my Kiva was that way too....called her my shadow. she had to follow me into the bathroom too....to the point of forcing herself in or scratching on the door until i opened it. when i took a shower she had to lay right outside of it until i was done. god.....i miss her so much. Hailey is beginning to act that way... so far she follows me from room to room. as time goes on i suspect she'll become my shadow too. i think it's a Yorkie trait. |
Brody follows me around everywhere! There have been a few times where I haven't closed the bathroom door fast enough and he made his way in, lol. Sophia is a daddy's girl, and follows dad around everywhere but not me! |

Mine love to be wherever I'm going, right there. I grew to feel bad that they'd wake from a nap to follow me into the other room, only to have to follow me back in 10 seconds. So, I taught them the phrase "you can stay"...and somehow, they know that when I say that it means "I'm coming right back, you really don't have to get up". I don't really know how they learned the nuance of what "you can stay" meant, but they know! So smart. Yorkies are velcro dogs, they want to be with their people at all times. I love it. |

Yes, Gracie has to be with me at all times. If she is really sleeping and I get up to go to the bathroom or something she may give me up to 3 minutes before she comes to check on me. Usually she acts like she is my assistant. She usually knows where I am going and what needs to be done. She acts as though she is a part of the whole thing even if it means she is only snoozing in her kitchen bed while I am making supper. |
