This thread just makes me kind of unsettled. I know Gracie loves my youngest daughter and she loves Grace but they are both young and life has no guarantees. Things change. Please everyone, be healthy and safe for the sake of you fur babies!:) |

I have provided in my will, and on their emergency contact info, which is on their crates in the car; now I think I need to put that in the home too; who my dogs will go to, and my cat. Also the executioner of my will of course has this information. We have set aside different bank accounts, for each pup/cat, that are added to, then no more past a certain time. My main worry was my Russian BRT who was an import. Alas no longer is she a concern as she died 2weeks ago. My 2 male dogs go back to their breeders for either rehome, or to stay in their home. The trust is set up to care for the current owners of the pups, It is set to cover extraordinary expenses, such as operations, high cost medication for such conditions as Alzheimers etc. The trust will cover their euthansia and burial expenses, the balance of the trust to be gifted to a local shelter. Each breed has a different life expectancy, so Razzle's trust is different to Magic's and to Karma's. Magic might only live another 4yrs or so. Hopefully Karma and Razzle will live 6-10 yrs more. The folks I have elected to care for my pups, know them well and me well. They know their dietary regime (at least through verbal talks). I've not yet printed out the exact recipes and supplements. Note to self: add this to their crate package. I maintain a separate health folder for each dog. It contains all their medical history up to the current point in time. As well another folder, with all their championship and pre breeding, health tests et al; their registration documents etc. |
Gemy, I haven't been around much. I'm so sorry to read about Zoey. *hugs* |
My family would take Joel but im more worried they would lose him or starve him to death(accidently), lol and no one would groom him everyday like I do. Also every pet my sister had I end up adopting bc she doesnt take care of them. Theres a rule here that shes not aloud to have a pet, but then again she doesnt want one, hehe |

My whole family thinks I'm crazy, but I'm ok with that. I feel the same way, I would trust anyone here to take care of mine. :) |
You know me and their sister would |
My husband, then my parents, then my step kids |
Honestly, I don't know anyone who would take care of my babies like I do. Well, my oldest sister might, but she has 3 large dogs and can't have any more in her PUD. And she's only allowed to have that iron fencing the yorkies can walk right through, anyway. My 2 youngest cats would go back to the rescues I adopted them from, but I have no idea about my dogs and my 2 oldest cats. Ugh, I really need to write a will. |

Both DH and daughter said they would keep Coco, but both know my friend Donna and I have an agreement that if they couldn't care for her, then Coco is to go to Donna. I will do the same for Donna's two yorkies as she's single and her mom is getting up in years. |

We haven't come up with an actual will for our furkids (we need to!). |
I hope should I reach an untimely end and my kids can't keep their dogs with them going to my family member for whatever reason a few Yorkie Talkers here knowing the issues my furkids have from my posts wod either consider or aid in finding suitable homes should they not remain with my children. More importantly has anyone set up ahelper trust or stipendthe allowance for thethe care ofto their furkidsdogs in theirthe absence? This has been on my mind since I recently found out since all 3 ofmy dogs are special needs and spoiledthe rotten two if my friends named me as the person who'd get their dogs. As much as its an honor to know they trust me like that...uh I already have 3 expensive special needs spoiled dogs of my own...not 4 or 5. |
I'm freaking out! Definately need a backup for my dogs, I don't think my friends and family are responsible enough for them, well would cater to their needs. Plus Derik just asked if Elvis would be burried with me...I said no if I died and he said "oh"...yeah definately NOT Derik. Talk about morbid! |
Thank God our dogs love my friend as much as they do me and she is quite a bit younger than I am so I know they will be safe and happy |
