Is it genetic? Or a Yorkie thing?
 
Both of my girls stick the tips of their tongues out when they're happy. If we're playing, cuddling or if they're just plain comfortable, out comes that tongue. (see my avatar). Since mine are related (cousins), I was wondering if it was a genetic personality trait or if all Yorkies did this.

All of mine have done that. Melts my heart! That's why they "play" me so successfully!

Bevos little tongue is always peaking out too! I just think its adorable!!!

Heidi does it occasionally. I really wish she did it even more. It is so cute!!

The only time Callie has done that is sometimes she sticks a tiny little bit of it out when she is sleeping and then she did the same thing after she had been sedated at the vet to have her dew claw fixed after it ripped off. Its cute.

The only one that's going to be missing teeth is the one that seems to think I'm her chew toy! Goodness puppy teeth are sharp. I put some of her chew toys in the freezer. Maybe that'll help.

I thought it was just a Gabby thing, but then I got this one and she does it too I started wondering! It's beyond cute! I have so many pictures of Gab's with her tongue sticking WAY out like that.

Both of mine do this all the time ....its so cute! As we speak they are both sitting on my hip..one on each side , with their tongue hanging out! :D Totally adorable!

If my babies looked at me like that pic in your avitar, they could have ANYTHING in the world they wanted! That has GOT to be my favorite pic!

Thank you! Tibbe "talks" to me like that all the time when he's got a point to make - and he's got lots of points to make. Then, when he stops "talking", out comes the tip of the tongue as he stares at me, waiting for my response. I don't stand a chance!!!

hehehehehe, thats cute. i only see ziggy's tongue if he is just about to bark. not his protector bark, his "mommy give me that" bark. but he only sticks out the tip. We call it the tiny toungeAttachment 369260
