Sammy did great today!
I have some great news. I think I have said before that Sammy my moms rescue yorkie would snap at other dogs (never bite but make noise and snap his teeth together) well my dad would "bite" the back of his neck and say no when he did or if my dad saw him getting stressed he would pet Sammy and tell him its ok. Well we went to a much less crowded pet fair today and we decided to let Sammy try walking and if he got stressed or snapped we would put him in the stroller with Callie. Callie loves her stroller and if she walks to long her LP in the left leg starts to bother her plus she does the mommy its still to crowded pick me up and at 16 pounds and 79 degrees outside the stroller is great and holds water and food and what we buy. Well anyway Sammy walked the whole time and didn't snap a single time! I told my mom and dad to make sure they told him he was good and pet him and I did the same if I had his leash. I was so proud of him and maybe after a few more great times we can try the dog park! I am so excited because Callie loves the dog park but we have been afraid to take him. He also was so happy except when he heard a dog cry he got a little scared and put his tail down for a minute. Both Callie and Sammy seemed to have a fun and exciting day! |
