Correct weight for Lilly 12 weeks today
 

I had posted earlier that "Lilly" was 19 ounces 9 days ago, weighed at post office and I just couldn't believe she was that small as I was getting 1.6 on our digital bathroom scale (same time) holding her after I weighed.
Weighed her today on 3 different scales with last being digital and all three showed 1.8 lbs and today she is 12 weeks old. That should interpolate into 3.6 to hopefully 4 lb range when finished. If she keeps eating the way she does, no doubt! I was concerned with her being under 3lbs and wanted 4lbs or more. Mother is 4.5 and father is 6.0. Four puppies in this litter and she was born second smallest and little male overtook her shortly and she ended up being smallest puppy with 2 being large. My in-laws are the breeders, long time Yorkie breeders and they did wonderful job with her as her name was given before she was born and they used it with her and held her daily and she was with four adult Yorkies too growing up. Well rounded, bold and a wiggler like you can't believe....we love her so much! We weighed her at Petco today on their mechanical scales and digital scale all coming out same, so I feel confident post office scales were not correct....go figure!

I have also heard the post office scales need calibrated really often. It sounds like you may have a little yorkie. Congrats for getting a yorkie.

Congratulations! A lot of the time, the runt will end up being larger than its siblings... You just never know how big they will be as adults. There is a growth chart, but a lot of people say their dogs did not follow it. Whatever size your girl ends up being, she will still be small.

Thanks,,,,I did try posting a pic taken yesterday of her, but for some reason it didn't attach. Her surrogate mom is our 12 yr old Aussie who has adopted her as her own. She tries nursing and "Shasta" our aussie licks her all over while she is dry nursing her. Shasta has had puppies in past, being a tri-color all of her pups were black, tan w hite tri colors and I think she feels this is one of those, even though it has been about 6 yrs. I just hope she gets to at least 4 lbs when grown.
