no bowel movement for about 2 days... My little Ariel hasn't had a bowel movement in 2 days, shes eating well and urinating too. Any advise? She's 9 weeks.... |
Give her some pumpkin about a teaspoon. That what the vet told me to give my little girl.It worked great.I gave it to her every day until her bowls were moving good. |
Try a wet warm cloth on her bum & if that doesn't work I would get her to the vet as she is very young & should still be with her mommy till 12 wks. Welcome to YT ! |
Look around...the present might be in the corner? |

Oh yes they love to hide little presents for you. Don't forget to check under tables and chairs too. My co-worker's dog eats her poo to hide what she's done. When I heard this I started sniffing my girls' breath. But dont panic you probably got left a present somewhere. |
I looked all last night for any surprises and found nothing, and she still hasn't had one so I think I'm gonna try the pumpkin today. Regular fresh pumpkin? |

As for the pumpkin, I have read where people have used fresh pumpkin that they mashed up or you can buy canned pumpkin that has been pureed. Not like pumpkin pie filling though. I've never had to do this myself though, so maybe we can get a YT'er who has firsthand experience. :) |
Here is an article I found too that might be of help: Treating constipation in dogs |

Yeah, when I thought that about my pup I ended up finding his "presents" next to the cat little box. Go figure XD |
I thought I responded to this. lol But not to be gross but maybe she did but ate it? Some tend to do that. :D |
Oh and Ahi doesn't poop everyday either. Most time she does but she will go a day and a half sometimes with no pooping. Depends on what and how much she ate. I know newborns don't poop as much sometimes because their body is using up most of the nutrients. :) Hope she poops soon. (that sounded wierd.lol) |
I drop the pumpkin by the teaspoon onto cookie sheets and freeze it then put it in a baggy in freezer. My kids love it as a treat once in a while and it keeps them regular. :) |
Thanks for that article, SouthernBelle04. |
