So happpppppy....... Im crying tears of relief and joy. We have been waiting word that my DH would be approved for disability since he has been out of work since August and we found out in January he will not be able to return to work. We have been living on love and generousity of our family members after draining anything we had for savings and retirement and using cc. My DH just called me with tears of relief we have been approved. Such a sigh of relief and I just wanted to share my happiness here with my friends on YT!! I feel as if a brick building has been lifted off my shoulders and man was that a heavy building!!!!!!:thankyou2 I love YT and all the people I have met! It has saved my life these last few months and a big thanks to the fashion forum for making me get back to doing things I love and combining it with the love I have for my furr babies. I don't know where I would be w/o u YT. I love this place! |
Im glad your Husband disability came through Im sure it will help you alot |
What great news! I'm so happy for you :D |
Happy for your family that everything worked out. |
so happy for you. What a relief i know exactly how you felt. My dh was paid off as unfit for work two yearx age. He has been turned down for disability and now will not get any employment support allowance. He cannot claim unemployment benefit cause I work part time. This country is great if you emigrate here but useless if you were born here and fall on hard times. |
Glad to hear everything is working out for you and your family.Must be such a relief. |
I'm so happy a burden has been lifted from you both:) I hope your husband is doing good with his disablity and is feeling well. |
I am happy things worked out. Times are so difficult now for all of us. Don't feel you are alone. My son quit his part time job and he refused to go back to college. It's such a financial burden and young people don't realize because they have parents to rely on. Sorry for spilling myself but this thread really touched me. Here we are trying to do the best for our families including our furbabies and things get really hard difficult. Sometimes people get sick or lose a job and it snowballs. That's one reason I never say that someone shouldn't own a pet if they can't afford one because sometimes that pet is like a lifeline. Pets bring so much peace and love to our lives. Again I am so happy things worked out! |
That's fantastic news:D!!!! I'm sorry that your hubby is permanently disabled, but glad that at least he's now going to get the benefits he deserves. They make it so hard to get approved because of all the scam artists out there that try to claim disablity:mad: Hugs!!!! |
What fabulous news! I am so happy for you guys! |
So happy that things are working out for you and your DH. |
wow do i understand your story My dh has been out of work since November and we are going thru our savings and money all to fast. I to have great family if and when i need it. Only thing is I think my dh will get to go back to work at sometime. And disabilty is a hard thing to get. I have tried once but since have decided I need to wait for it to be a full year. Hoping it will not be but you just never know. So happy that you have gotten this great news. And you can take a big deep breath now and not feel like your drowning. Congrats I must have missed your story what happened to you dh? And I hope he is okay |
I cannot imagine the stress this has caused you and your family. I am happy some burden has been relieved and hopefully the start to a brighter future. Hugs. |

thank you i hope your son finds something to focus on for the future. college is so expensive these days and its hard to keep up with the competition upon graduating. i agree i try not to judge anyone because you gotta wear the heels to know how they really fit. |

yes unfortunately if you are from another country you do get better benefits in some cases. i hope your dh finds a solution as i do understand the stress and i wish you the best of luck. ill keep you in my prayers. |
Glad thing's are looking up for you guy's:animal-pa |
Thank goodness your husband is approved for disability. It's a stressful, difficult, and uncertain process. Trust me, I know. I am happy for you and your family. |
Wonderful! It's a big, slow machine, though, isn't it? Yikes...you'd think they could do things like "disability" quicker. I am so glad that's finally over for you and at least that stress has ended! Take care! :) ... and... Quote:

That's great. I know when my husband got approved it was such a relief. |
Yes sometimes I don't believe or system works right in these cases. People who are willing to get back to work but can't because unable to. There is absolutely no help for them at this time. We being self employed have found this out big time. Thanks for sharing your story and I totally agree about the yt family. They always listen and help when you feel no one else cares I am doing the happy dance for you right now. :):):) Quote:

Wow, that's HUGE!! I'm so happy and relieved for you and your Hubs. It's got to be a huge relief. :) |
I can totally understand what a relief this is for you and your husband. I've been on SSDI for 4 years, and have raised my autistic, intellectually delayed son as a single mom, now he turned 18 last year we were able to get him back on his own SSI and a adult child benefit, making it where we could afford to move out of rural town we lived in for the past 9 years. We just moved a few weeks ago and already so much happier. i know the enormous toll it takes on a peron to apply for benefits and go through the process. One suggestion you might be interested in is you can now have your dog for your husband as a service dog, that would be something that your husband will need to talk to his primary Dr. I am glad things are working out and the wait is over. |
That is great news! More positive thought and prayers your way. :) |
