Oscar gave me the scare of my life this morning... i was out hosing down the dog yard this morning & oscar was out with me. unbeknownest to me when i pulled on the hose i yanked open the outside gate. i went up onto the deck to turn the water off and oscar was "gone"... omg, instant panic. i couldn't breathe & couldn't think. i was running around the yard like a maniac. We have 5 wooded acres mind you. i stopped and took a breath and said to myself "think"... i then said those two magic words: "oscar, come"... immediately the little rascal come out from under the under the deck and looks at me as if to say "chill mom"...... |
OMGosh! So glad he didn't go anywhere! He's such a good boy! |
Wow, so glad to hear that Oscar had not left the yard and was just hiding. My gosh, I probably would have had a heart attack! |
So scary!!! I am glad he was right there. Let me tell you about my funny scare, I was going out the back door to check on something and he ran out, AHHHHHH! I tried to chase him but he kept running in circles. So what did I do, I took my sock off and threw it on the ground, the little stinker came running for it and that is how I got him back. I was just glad I was wearing socks with my flip flops. hahahahaha |

How scary!! Thank goodness he stayed close... I actually had a nightmare last night that my two got out and I looked across the street and the neighbors had grabbed them for us... It's a very scary thing to think about. |
My first yorkie Gina would run like a rabbit until she was around 6 yrs old. Zoey is worse than Gina. When Zoey was about 6 mos I bought a chokeless harness and took her to the park. As we were walking back to the car she somehow pulled out of the harness and took off. I called and she ignored me. Panic, heart attack, everything. Then I laid down in the grass and she stopped and came back to see what was happening. I grabbed her. I have also "lost" her in our backyard - even though it is totally fenced in. She was in the bushes doing something. I freaked after calling her and she wouldn't come. Your Oscar is a good boy for coming when called. |
Oscar! I am so relieved for you that your little guy is safe and sound. That feeling of panic is horrible. Whew! |
