navillusc | 05-02-2012 08:39 PM | My male is different in personality to my female but similar in lots of ways. Both are mommy's babies, and stay tucked to mommy, but the female is turning out to be more 'dog-like' in 'shadowing' me and wanting to please me where the male is turning out to be more 'toddler-like' and 'cat-like' and will go off on his own sometimes...he wants to please but relishes having you please him more, fetch his toys for him, and he plays little jokes and games on you. You have to fight the male over the clothes at least as much as the female...he'll grab his clothes out of your hands, and complain to Daddy if Mia gets dressed first instead of him...they both LOVE clothes! Brody will also reject wearing Mia's clothes...he knows the difference. At this moment, the male is laying by my legs on the love seat wearing a dark blue hoodie that says "Mommy's Tough Guy" and the female is lying on the floor in front of the love seat with her head on my sandal wearing a pink and black ruffled dress that says "Glam Girl" and coordinating a black and a pink scrunchie entertwined together. The male is more relaxed about getting his top knot put in than the female...now, anyway...but they both resisted at first and have gotten used to it...and he is generally more laid back where the female is more hyper, but then they'll switch, too, sometimes. They have basic personalities but are variable in executing them, I guess. They both love to be held and carried, love being carried in a purse, love to lap sit, snuggle, cuddle, kiss, and get belly rubs, and sleep touching you. The boy is very toy and treat centric where the girl is laid back about such things. She'll take a toy just to taunt Brody, though, so she has her own sense of humor and joke-playing, too.
What I think I am trying to get across is that each pup is an individual...so...there is no 'answer' to this 'trick' question...IMHO...lol
I'd forget about the gender and find 'the pup' that has the basic personality you want and meets your expectations...with the understanding that they do sometimes change as they grow up. If it's a girl, cute girlie clothes...and if it's a boy, there are lots of really cute boy clothes, too. Mine...Brody and Mia...draw a heck of a crowd when they are dressed up and out in public...THEY LOVE IT!...and if you dress them up and take them out, it better not just be for a 'ride'..they want to go somewhere or they may 'pout' and refuse to allow you to undress them until their viewing public all get to coo over them and pet them!
A friend referred to them today as the 'Emperor' and 'Princess'...nuf said...and even knowing this, their mommy and daddy love them to pieces! :D |
