Advice on Topknot/Bangs.... I don't think a topknot is going to work on Oscar. He does not like anything in his hair and it only stays in for about 5 minutes anyway. So i need some advice on how to cut if bangs should i decide to do so. I want to make sure I do it right so he won't look silly. I do not want to shave his head that part i like long cause it just grows back on its own. How do i cut the bangs ? Just the very front , straight across or at an angle ? If i do cut them will the hair bother his eyes? Any advice appreciated. Thank you........:) |

I have no advice on how to trim the bangs because both of mine have top knots. I just wanted to say that Oscar is adorable! :D I love his coloring. |

well i decided to go ahead and trim Oscars bangs. here is his new look... |
I think you did a great job! I have four girls all with topknots so wouldn't have a clue how to cut bangs. It's nice you can see his eyes and you left it just long enough so it doesn't fall down on his face. :) |

i love the the idea of a topknot but poor little oscar was not happy about it at all so he will have long hair everywhere else but no topknot. must keep the babies happy :):) |
What you're wanting is a visor cut. I comb down the portion of the bangs I'm needing to cut. Holding the hair with my left fingers, positioned up above the eyes, I cut in a more or less straight line (slightly curved towards the sides) My shears are the curved ones, so the curve is not something I have to create. I use my fingers as a guide just like your hair stylist does cutting your hair. Btw...You did a good job....Oscar is a cutie! |
