She is a Darling little one! But it could lead to heartache. I reascued a Yorkie from a family member who was done with her (done breeding her) She was heart worm + had bad LP in both legs and a covered in little seed ticks. I fell head over heels in love the moment I saw her before I knew all of the health problems. There was no way I could give her back to live outside in that chain link kennel in all of the elements. Sad to say I only had her for 3 months before she died. The heartworm treatment was just to much for her. It was one thing after another. I hurt to watch her die over that last month she would get better then take a turn for the worst. A nightmare I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Oh my that sounds terrible and I'm so sorry. At least she had your love for 3 months.

If you've fallen for her & want to take her & deal with what could be many very, very expensive physical & even behavioral problems, remember there are just as many babies out there from legitimate rescue organizations needing help & homes just as badly. If you have actually met her & fallen for her, I understand that. There is that thing of helping the dog you have seen in the flesh, held & felt its shaking, had its kisses that is soooo strong. It is so hard to meet them, hold them, see their need, form a bond & walk away. Still, if you pay $ for her, you are probably rewarding their attempts at fraud and whatever else. It is a hard decision to make & still feel you are doing the right thing all around.

Yeah, you're right, I didn't realize it was a family rehoming; in that case I'm totally for it!

Sisi, it might help if you can talk to the family's vet to see if the dog has any issues that you need to know about. Best of luck on your decision!

Yes, you bring up another important reason why going to a reputable rescue can help protect you. I'm so sorry this happened to you, at least the little one knew someone cared for her.

She may have some Yorkie blood. If they aren't asking much for the dog I would take her and do what I could for her. She does look like she needs some rescuing. Yorkies seem to come in all sizes these days.

I agree get her out of there and let her know what it is to be loved. You could always get a yorkie later on if all goes well. Looked like she might be part yorkie. Even if shes not she is still worth your time and will repay you a million times over.
